do you have to be in to god and that to go to the gathering? cause i'm atheist .. but it looks really interesting and fun
sorry to abrupt your thought of thinkin babe,,but probably you havent got an answer yet is because the family has everyone in in it.. the motto''''everyone that has a belly button pretty much covers it"""" all religions, ethnic geoups, and walks of life have a place in the family. Don't wory about who's gonna accept you cuz everyone will,,,instead worry about what you can do to help at the next gathering. No one cares or asks what god you believe in if any as long as you dont knock someone that believes in something then no one will care,, just accept people for who they are and accept them as family then no one will bother to ask and if they do and you say youre an atheist then who cares,, they are going to love you as a human being and not as whatever you believe in.... The family is a mix of all kinds of ethnic and religious backgrounds,, you are loved no matter what.
Y'know, I haven't seen the "Jesus Dude" since the Ark. annual. Nah...I'm (for lack of a better term) an atheist and an ordained minister. (???) I've been gathering for many years and only once have I been accosted by any religious wingnuts. And even that was apologized for some years later. Don't worry....WE ARE FAMILY...all of us. Zen
You might not want to camp to close to the Krisha folks unless you really like to hear chanting. Rainbow is the only place I've ever been that has so many diverse beliefs (and non- beliefs as the case may be ) Come'on Home!
actually you might get a chance to debate with some of the family on the opposite end of the spectrum - the christians and krishnas. some will try to bring you into their beliefs, but its usually gentle and open to discussion
It's not the people who are likely to make you question your beliefs....or lack thereof.....it's the way Rainbow works, which I can only describe as by Magic, or by The Will of God, or by something else which I don't understand, and I don't think anyone understands, but which I challenge any strict empiricist to explain.
Well said. The Pranksters believed that you could not define the synchonicity of the universe because once there is a definition, it automatically cannot be that thing.
“The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.”- Ken Kesey
rule number one. believe in something or youll fall for anything and treat people the way you would like to be treated...youll get along with everyone. you will see the difference between those who wear black, and those of colorful spirits......its a random spectrum of a conundrum.....figure that one out.peace.out
