I haven't done much tye dye but when i did i used small stones, glass bottles and elastic bands. you wrap the stones or bottles in the fabric and secure them with the elastic bands. Anywhere the elastic bands are tight should stay the original colour of the fabric and any folds created by the shapes on the bottles/stones will make the colour of the dye stronger. I've never done more than one colour though! ~Hope that helps!
