Racist Jews

Anyone ever notice the way the Jews in Israel are always giving out about how everyone is anti-semitic (sp?) and they are being picked on constantly, and if you say anything to the contrary or condemn ther actions against the paestinians your are also labelled anti-semitic and a supporter of terrorism. They'll also drag up the holocaust at some point aswell. Well it's a well know fact that the vast majority of Jews want the state of Israel to eb for Jews only and I think this compunds that.

Now who's the racists. As a people that has suffered so much persecution from Roman times right up until now you'd imagine they would be more accepting and tolerant towards other religions......obviously not. I do realise that these are more the extreme members of the community there, but most of the them, although not as hardline still agree.

A lean to the right, eh? Actually... the truth is more like a lean to the left. Sharon's disengagement plan is originally a left wing idea that he has adopted. I was recently at the biggest peace rally in the last ten years (over 100,000 people were there), people are speaking out against the religious right more and more often....

While I agree that Israel is fucking shit up, the fault is not only theirs.

 

To be honest I don't think Al-Jazeera is as bad or as unbiased as it is made out to be. Also I agree with you that the fault is not only Israels, but they do seem to think that are in the right all the time.

 

Dude, Al-Jezeera is the FoxNews of the Middle East. An close to 61%, I beleive, of Israielis want to let Palastinians have at least some land.

 

You can slate Al-Jazeera all you want but there's NO WAY it's as bad as Fox.

You know nothing! You have not lived in Israel, you have not expereinced Israel! You know nothing of Israeli or Palestinian politics. I would start arguing with you, but you are logicly incopetent of the subject.

Al Jazeera can not be your only source. Have you even thought about considering everyone? I would say the same if you just took something from Shalom Achshav (peace now). If you want to know some insight, from left to right (exclude the far right [National Religious Party]) "all" Israeli's (notice that I'm not saying jews) want peace. The method for getting that peace is very different (compare the youth movements Hanoar HaOved Ve'HaLomed [education to help sociaty to peace] to Betar [greater Canaan {this is Israeli Betar, not other country Betar's ideology}]).


Here are some books that I recommend. Both are extremely biased (cause in this topic, there is no objective infomation [especially if they say they do]). The first is a great piece of Right wing propaganda, Israel Myths and Facts. The other is a great piece of left wing views, Israel/Palestine by Tanya Reinhart.

Notice that everything has a bias!!!

 

To be real honest with you guys - I only read the title.

EVERYONE IS RACIST, SEXIST AND WHATEVERIST.

It's natural to feel some sort of either aversion or curiosity towards what is different.

Trouble happens when you do dumb stuff upon it - killing a black guy, not hiring someone who's gay, ect...

Trying to change what we experience in our heads when we meet someone different than us is impossible.

Sure, there are certain cultures that have their own thingie but the World is the World and you gotta use some sense.

 

The thing you've got to take into account is that the Isrealis offered the Palestinians something like 98% of the land they wanted not long ago, and the Palestinian leaders refused. It seems they are unwilling to compromise at all.

I feel for the palestinians, but I detest their methods.

 

I think everyone detests their methods, but the reason the Palestinians turned the offer down is because they want all their land back, remember the land was robbed by the Israelis in the first place, and the British in their infinite wisdom led the way in letting the Israelis claim it as their own.

damm straight. This a deeply personal issue for Israel and the Palestinians, no one living far away in America can even comprehend the amount of hate, loss and ideals that are on both sides. So what makes you think you have the right to 'make up your mind of the subject'?
