i just got back from a swim..the lake is nice now after these hot days...the top foot is perfect the section from chest to knees is ok and the bottom is nice and cool on the feet


there was a huge shadfly drifting by so i splashed at it to get it away but it didnt care....then a big fish came up and ate him

also had a deer run out in front of me then change his mind about crossing the road just in time...ill check the dashcam card later and try to snap a still from it if its showed up well

oh my god i took a quiz today at school. this kid gets up during and asks the professor how to do such and such. the professor was basically like you can go suck a dick, kid (he was absent the class we went over the material). then i turned in my quiz and started to leave. professor looks at my quiz and says hey did you take notes on this? i said yeah. then he said.. so we talked about this in class? i said yeah. i lold

if i ever win the lotto im buying a nice waterfront house with a huge property and no close neighbours

Finally we had a nice weekend and the deck/veranda is on it's way to being almost done. One stair case is done and two left to do. Yippeeeeeeeeee!!

 

We're getting new shingles on the roof, I wouldn't want to be up there its close to 90f here today...

Three of the grandkids got stung by yellow jackets today...

They went outside a minute or two ahead of me and got up into an area of junk in the carport while playing with a stray kitten.

I heard screams out of one, then another, then another, then more screams out of each of them... just firing off...I nearly died trying to get out the door...all this only took like 5 seconds...but the three of them were screaming and couldn't talk; and the two who weren't hurt weren't sure what happened.

I figured it out when I knocked an embedded bee off one of their legs. I ran them all into the shower and started hosing their legs and arms down.

The first girl got 3 stings on her thighs and maybe one on a finger (she though maybe it was hurting a while later). The second girl got 2 - both on the same finger. The boy got one on the front of each lower leg.

I swear... it was terrible around here for a little while until the other 2 adults in the house woke up and came to help me get them taken care of.

 

Yellow jackets are bad mofos... They nest in the ground or in junk piles.

 

Another hot and humid day in the 90's...

And they are still working on the roof, should be done tomorrow...Its loud in here with all that pounding up there...

 

camping with my sister tonight and tomorrow Friday my sister is getting her tattoo done 8 hours it will take. so me and my dad will watch them that day

 

How awful!!! I can just see their sweet little faces and I hate hearing they (and you) went through this.

I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself getting to them, as I know that has happened (to your's truly) when making a mad dash to a screaming child.

Yeah, yellow jackets have an awful sting and I'm under the impression they don't die after they sting; but, live to keep on and on. DAMN THEM! :devil:

Did y'all get a special treat after this...such as ice cream?
