i just rolled a cig. (with some vanilla tobacco) with some randy´s papers - you know, the ones with the wire. it was my first time ever trying them, and they have got to be THE EASIEST papers to roll with! i´ve never rolled that fast before. i still dont really dig the wire - i prefer rolling with a tip/filter so you have something to hold onto. either way though, if any of you have problems rolling, try doing it with Randy´s papers...
these are my favourite papers. but they are about the most difficult to roll with. they are small, and you must tear off the edge of the paper to make it stick. the fibers need to be torn and loose to stick because there's no glue. it's the purest paper in the world. use a dollar bill to help you roll, until you get better. pm me if you need further advice. (it just happens that I am a master joint-roller! I think I'll roll one now....
to answer one posters question - the wire essentially acts as a roach clip. I used to love trippin' out my friends in high school with Randy's pappers at night. They wouldn't see the wire and it would look like the J was levetating in mid-air.
there is a tiny wire that runs the length of the paper. while the J burns down, the wire remains - essentially acts as a roach clip so you can smoke the J basically until the very end.
Hmm... Well, how does the roach clip aid in rolling? When I roll (or try to) I usually set the crease of the paper in between two fingers and fill it, and then I just pick it up and roll.
the wire doesn't necesarilly aid in rolling as much as Randy's being a fairly thick paper (which also has its pitfalls in flavor).
the only papers I have ever used are EZ Widers and my boy rolled a joint once in some other papers. I don't know what kind but he sed they weren't EZ Widers and they didn't look like them either. I like blunts better though. But joints are okay sometimes.
i havnt noticed the difference in paper ease. im curious to know tho, how flavoursum teh flavoured papers are. is it ealy that noticeable or is it sorta subtly mixed in with the weed/tobacco flavour
The only flavored papers I smoked were cherry flavored ones, and they had more of a hint of cherry that lingered in your mouth afterwards. I'm betting it really depends on the papers, though.
the taste of flavored rolling papers is pretty noticeable i think. it is a bit easier to roll with randy's. the wire kinda helps you wrap the joint around. it's hard to explain i guess. you have to feel it. warning: i've seen quite a few people inhale the last bit of the joint when smoking a randy's. be careful not to do this.
hence the warning. they didn't do it on purpose. it's just that the roach gets so tiny, when you hit it, it can come off the wire. i think worse than the burning is getting it stuck on the back of your throat.
I have some Juicy J's peach flavored papers that are really great. Like SagaciousKJB2 said, the taste is just hinted at when you smoke with them.
lol waht a stupid sotner thign to say but anwyay hes right you should conserve the roach, and when you cant physically grip it with your hands, you shouldnt be smoking it anyway caus thats like the sign to say 'ok thats enough, put this in your bong' or 'ok thats enough put this in your roach bag'. i always use bits of cardboard for a roach anyway so i dont need roach clip and eating it wouldnt suply much weed anyway.
Lol I have to agree with stonerbill. it is definitly a stoner thing to say but I have been guilty of this in the past myself too. I've eaten blunt roaches before. It tastes like shit, leaves an after taste for a long time, and it doesn't even get you higher because you are barely swallowing any weed. It's definitly better in a bong or bowl.
