What ever happened to real fuckin raves? No im not talking about this 2000's club shit, filled with choches, tools and whisky dicks...i'm talking about the good old fuckin warehouse raves filled to the roof with mother fuckers rollin, fuckin the smell of vicks throughout the place, and the goddam song out of space by the prodigy blasting in the speakers? What happened? Where are they? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Yes I know exactly what you are talking about They died in the late 90's around 99 to 2001 the scene was blown up buy every one and any one and the cops started cracking down like crazy. Hear in NYC when clubs like the Tunnel were shot down and the limelight and club expo stopped doing raves becasue the cops made them it was pretty much the end for the old school Rave seen !!!! alot of blame also goes to the ravers. They got way to bold with there raves, I remember they would hand out flyers all the time at clubs or on the side walk in the village or midtown Manhattan for illegal raves. When you start doing shit like that its not to long before the cops find out ???

after the kyle huff thing raves became illegal where i am. theres a few every week all at 16+ clubs, a few warehouse/clubs, and the rest are independent or house parties. my friends who are promoters hand out flyers all the time but they arent called raves so techinically their not so police dont do anything. you get searched when you come in and most clubs have kids working undercover trying to buy pills and bust dealers now

Well there is a simple solution to that MS. Stake out a good place somewhere, rent a generator, buy a bucket full of pills, spread the word. If you build it, they will come.

I have friends that know diiferent warehouse parties every weekend. He told me the scene is mostly DnB/Hardcore, and something he called DubStep which is like Grime and Jungle supposedly. In Downtown there are many warehouses, and they charge 5 at the door, I would go but honestly it sounds dirty as fuck, and I don't partake with this crowd because they are into bad drugs. I wonder if there are still warehouse parties playing the old school Detroit or the Acid House music, that would be so chill.

VaporDude- Man you are so dam right. I don't want to Sterotype all ravers becasue I have met alot of great people in the scene and made some real good friends. But I never was really even into Raves at all I just went to meet my Drug hook ups when I was in my teens and try to hook up with some fine looking raver chick if I was lucky. But 75% of the time people I met there were total assholes who thought they were better then every one else and all they cared about was drugs more then there so called friends. I know there is peole like that in every scene but it seems like there is alot more Ass Holes like that buy percentage in the rave scene ? In my opinion there are just to many spoiled ass little rich Brats who have nothing better to do with Mommy and Daddys money then get strung out and think its the cool thing to do. Buy the way I know some rave chicks are hot as Hell. Hey don't get me wrong I love freaks but 9/10 almost Every kid in that rave one time or another ran threw them raw. They might look alright but they are some nasty ass Chicks there snatch is like a Biological weapon.so watch out Your Dick might just fall off !!!!!!

    ^haha

Raves aren't all about the drugs. It's that attitude that killed the scene. Drugs strongly enhance the rave experience, but it's more about creating a utopia of disenfranchised cool people to come together under the same roof for the same exact thing. People go to raves to forget the malice of the world and dance into oblivion. Rollin always helps in this regard, obviously

NYC is still huge with Raves buts its nothing compared to what it was like in the middle and late 90's at all. I would say it still is the Rave capital of America buy far !!!!
