another exciting adventure from the tattered casebook of rangerdanger, 3rd eye.

This happened a few years back.
I have a friend and he wanted to try his hand at growing weed. He doesn't smoke much--just a few joints a week--but he got tired of the low quality/high prices and hassle of buying it, plus he likes to garden.
So he asked me to teach him how.
So I did, helping him set up his garden and I even got him some top-rated genetics.
    He planted 12 seeds.
He was successfull beyond his--and my--greatest expectations.
11 of the 12 seeds were females, and he averaged 3/4--1 lb. per girl.
I help him dry & cure the weed but he's freaking out.
He's got 8 lbs., which is like 7.5 lbs too much. He can't smoke that much and he doesn't want to have that much at his house, or deal.
He gives me 1/2 lb. for helping him and asks me if I will sell the other 7 lbs for him. He says he isn't really concerned about how much $$ he makes, he just doesn't want it at home.
At the time, 7 lbs was a bit out of my league. I usually dealt no more than a lb. or 2. I tell him I could sell it but it might take me months to sell that much.
But I had a friend rick (not his real name) who dealt multiple pounds all the time, so I go over to talk to him.
I lay out the deal. "My friend doesn't want top dollar he just wants to get rid of it as quickly as possible and he says it's ok to offer it real cheap so he can get his $$ and get out." I tell him.
Rick tells me "I'll broker a deal but I won't offer it for any more than the going price." I ask him why.
"There are a lot of hard-core dealers in the pot business, like the Jamacian mafia. If I offered weed at a below-market value price they would consider that stealing. I would be taking their business away which they consider taking money out of their pocket and some dudes in 'dreads just might show up here and cap me (break his knees with a baseball bat)."
I had never considered that because everyone I had ever dealt to or with were mellow people.
But there are violent people in the drug trade, even marijuana.
It took him a week and a half to set up the deal and my grower friend got his money without incident.

The moral of this story is that dealing can have serious consequences, aside from getting busted by the pigs.

As I said, the guy wanted to get sell it asap.
And yes, there is a Jamacian mafia. There's a bunch of them in Venica, CA and just north of the USC campus.
They tend to reside in the same area and you don't want to be wandering around at night there.
Don't think of the Jamacians as all peace and ganja and Bob Marley. Some of them are as bad as any you'll find on earth.
My friend has a nephew that attented UCS a few years back, and the guy was on acid off-campus, just wandering around looking at the pretty colors, not bothering anyone, and he got severly beaten in the Jamacia part of town and was hospitalized for weeks.

I hear the gang problems in Jamacia are totally out of control. I'd like to go in the next year of too, maybe to Nergril. Smoking herb on the beach with hot Jamacian chicks everywhere, I'm totally down for that

You figure it was just a racial thing?

All it boils down to is that there are protagonists and antagonists everywhere... and all it is to some people is doing their job.

I don't think it was racial; that's one of the most ethnically diverse gereral area's on the planet.
I think it was a message to everyone--stay out of this part of town.

eh IMO you cannot judge anyone by their background/race, everyones differant.

I dont like people who are dicks for no reason, racist, self centered, and wanna-be's.

I like people who wont judge you, whos cool to be around, isnt a dick, has respect for ya, and a pretty decent fellow.

^^ Thats how i catagorize people.
