when lucid dreaming, one can figure out you're dreaming by making a reality check. if you do something you can't ususally do, then you're dreaming. now lets say that this is a dream. does this mean that in an actual reality there are even more restrictions? or are all restrictions simply a product of expecting them to be there? in a dream, if you expect to see a goldfish, you will. who here can actually convince themselves that when they turn around a goldfish will be flopping around on their table? can this be done? we cant make a reality check here, because we don't know what the reality outside our perceptions is like. if we can do something in this reality that should be impossible in truth, we think it's normal due to our experience.
maybe it works backwards. dreams are more real than this, and more real than that is total lucidity and control...
