But, don't you know that she is toxic? I just reread the criterion. Punk: Voot by Clinic - some great raw punky stuff on there. Or indeed anything by clinic, but not all of their songs are punk. The Kills, Archie Bronson Outfit, 22-20's.
Hella Lightning Bolt Deerhoof Mew Black Dice Mindflayer Explosions In The Sky That's about all the rock Im into currently, at least as far as non supergroups go
as for recommendations, I'm having trouble thinking of any reggae, rock, or punk for some reason at the moment. I just woke up. You've probably heard Can, but just in case you haven't, you should definitely check that out. If you like crazy psychedelic shit, you should get this album called bedlam by The Crazy People. ( http://www.canehdian.com/album/c/thecrazypeople/bedlam.html ) I can upload it for you if you're interested. I just got an idea.
THE MARS VOLTA DE LOUSED IN THE COMATORIUM it really is fantastic. i got a bit dissapointed with bits of the other albums. But that first album was life changing for me as a musician.
Hell yes, De-loused is their best. Frances the mute was meh, and don't get me started on the Bedlam in Goliath fiasco.. ugh.
WOW how can you guys be such HATERS, EVERYTHING The mars Volat put out is AMAZING. I mean i understand qouth the raven he's only 20 so it's probably to smart for him BUT DAMN. Ok about the thread get CLUTCH Gov't Mule Onesidezero at the drive-in
Yeah, the Mars Volta totally sucks beyond their first album. There are some good reggae bands discussed in the "reggae" section of the music forum, you should check it out. Other than that there's always Dennis Brown, Toots, Burning Spear, Culture, (some of) Bad Brains, all the Marley gang, Lauryn Hill, Big Youth, Israel Vibration... I can keep on going on and on, but then I'd deprive you of the beautiful experience of discovering reggae music by yourself. Also, download every band Relayer posted. They are all pretty damn good. (Ignore everything Hellvis posts at the same time, even though Gov't Mule isn't THAT bad). Other than that... you better start listening to King Crimson, Yes, and Can if you know what's good for you.
Ohhh sure sure and brave sir rubin knows so much about music. However i admit to not knowing SHIT about reagge
