YES! That makes me happy. We eat lots of spices and I was wondering how on earth I was going to convert that starch and bland vegetable diet to one similiar to ours when the kid started to give up jar food....Now I don't have to! HAHAH!

I lived in arabic countries, and always wondered how they fed their kids so hot + spicey food, because kids start eating with their parents after they weened. (they are nursed longer then here....)

i never used much jar food maybe a few jars of fruit to get them a started and they always loved yogurt. a little cereal. i always seemed to buy this and have more in the cupboard than they ate. once they all had a good start on solids i would just sit them at the table with us and they would eat what our family ate. baby food companies are just money makers in my opinion i see them as i see formula companies.

I don;t understand what you mean.

MJ, I agree with you on the babyfood Co. I made my own "baby" food then just fed the babies what we all ate once they started chewing :)

Makes sense, but even without the article I didn't believe little children need to be fed all these bland foods... after all there are millions of kids in Asia that say so :)

wow. i had no idea kids weren't "supposed to eat" spicy stuff. i just fed my daughter whatever foods agreed with her, avoiding the obvious milk and honey stuff.
