    What is your Major?

If you have not graduated, how many years do you have left?

I'm not recent.( Isn't that the past 3 years or sthg).
But mine was law with business. Not over useful afterwards IMO.

Its kind of daft deciding which degree u wanna do at 16 or so, listening to the bullshit "advice" of teachers and families.

i went for a B.S. in Business Mgmt, with minor in Economics - started off as an Economics major. Took a semester off, and when I got back, found out they removed Economics from being a major, and bumped it down to only being a minor...i was not grandfathered in.

If i was able to just take the classes I needed, then less than 2 full semesters worth of classes - so 1 school year. But i went to a small school, and they dont' always offer the classes I need at the time I need to take them

I am really considering going back to another school to start a whole different major (exercise science) which would put me back into school for a little while - or I can just finish up my business degree after i transfer.

English major/ Writing minor with less than a year (but probably a year) left. I probably will only actually work as a teacher (which is the only thing I can do with this degree) for a year or two so that I could travel. Later I'd rather enter the business world or do something closer to anthropology.

Welllll I technically should have graduated this past semester. I have been in school for the past 5 years, but I've changed my major so many times it doesn't matter what major I end up deciding on it will end up taking, a minimal, another two years to graduate. Major STILL undecided.

Information Technology/Accounting Minor, have a year left. Hopefully I can get a job in an insurance firm, banking office or a hospital for a bit of job security. Want to gain some experience and hopefully work for Walmart or Microsoft in their IT fields so I can travel a bit.

Yea, I did the law thing too. Passed the Bar and never practiced law.

I always thought you were in Exercise management. Wow, the things we learn when we ask.

I thought that is what you were doing.

That sounds like a good match.
I changed my major a lot too. Then I got a degree in something I never used.

Goals are good. I never can understand people who stop learning.

    Good area to study in.

Oh.You think u went into business partly cos u wanted to rebel from the law's fairly regimented type of ways?

As soon as I got to law school, I sort of realised I was different to most law students.
Trial law might've been fun.But our barristers( courtroom lawyers) live in a bizarre 18th Century existence- complete with wigs and gowns.

    Bullshitting is a valuable skill.

But I think you other choice suits you well.
I honestly think I went to law school becase everyone else in my life wanted me to.

I went into business becase it is easy, I can control my destiny and the Money.

Yes, I remember you talking about that. I know you will do well.

Me too. Before I wanted to be perhaps a scientist and always an architect
Afterwards law school I chose business.
And I'll probably end up in property- the nearest thing to architect.
Which is what I would've done if I hadn't listened to ill-informed crap at age 14 to 16.

I find lawyers are clever, if sometimes quite blinkered. And alot of my best friends are still lawyers.
But their "energy" is very different to mine-if that makes any sense?

i majored in psychology with a philosophy minor. it was an interesting 4 years that did nothing to prepare me for any future career. i plan on going back for something completely different.

    That sound fascinating. Good luck.

Yup. lawyers have an energy of arrogance. I suppose I do to.

But what I learned has definitely helped me in business.

A very good field of study.
