what do you guys think of rhodesian ridgebacks or cane corso mastiffs... im thinking about adopting one.
depends on if they've been overbred and inbred into being sickly pitiful dogs, if they come from puppy mills or petstores, or if you get a healthy, genetically sound dog from a reputable breeder. Makes all the difference in the world. Personally, I prefer mixed breed dogs myself.
Mutts are the greatest! And as far as ridgebacks go, one of the awesomest dogs I've ever known was a Ridgeback/chesapeke bay retreiver. He was well behaved and loyal, but played like a puppy, jumping around and whatnot, all the way into old age.
hmm unfamiliar with rhodesians...but I want a cane corso. I will educate myself and get back atcha...... *edit*ok, those are pretty dogs!!!!! But I like the prefer dense cane body. I would be proud to own either.
