    Hi everyone.
After searching for weeks on end ......Ive only confused myself on where to live out the rest of my life (or part of it) Bellingham was my first choice then Colville..then Tacoma (I love KEXP 90.3) .....Well I do know this Pacific North West...anywhere from Portland to BC to Idaho to Washington Area.

Please help me...please give me advise so I may find a great Hippy friendly home.

    Thank you,
    ................Robert

I live in Portland. It's a cool city, with a lot happening. A lot of which I mess out on since I'm not 21 yet, but still...there cool sites to see, cool people, cool places to hang out. Good vibe. But I cant' stand being in the city too long. The nice thing about Portland, and this area in general, is that you can drive for an hour or three hours, and be in a different environment - the beach, the moutains, or the dessert! Close to skiing. Central Oregon is nice, too...I like the Bend/Redmond area. Although it's still pretty cityish, it's got a nice vibe, and you're close to Smith Rock. Good climbing. :) Bend/Redmond is Central Oregon, and it's a lot more sunny then here in Portland. But it's also more extreme climate - hotter in the summer and colder in the winter - than Portland! I've spent Very Little time in Tacoma, and even less time in Bellingham, but I liked what I saw and would love to spend some more time in those places. :) I've only heard a tiny bit about Collville. :p

Thank you for the advice and after reading and surfing like crazy, Bellingham will be first. It was funny comming back around from a big circle that lead me to The Old Hippy in the Hippie Haven form. (Thank you Old Hippy)

I'd love to go to Vashon... I hear that it is one of the best places around, with lots of great people. Earthfest is in August, hmm? I'll be in Tacoma by then and hopefully will find a way over there!

Tacoma is an okay place to live, I'd say. It's such a huge mix of people and things that it's great fun to wander around. Lots of festivals and arts stuff developing there, too!

I bet portland is the shit, i was born there and when i'm older i'll probly go live there for a couple years. Spokane's kinda centered around barterfairs, not really though, but it's closer than alotta cities like courdalane, one barterfair spot is only like 30 miles away. but um, even though it's around hippy activities, there's no hippy activities in it, and not everyone here is hippy friendly, the cities kind of a joke. i'd definately live in portland or tanasket instead. someday i'm gonna get all my friends and make a big ass road trip following barterfairs and just live there for a year, then go down to portland.
