Alright, so this is my first REAL ROADTRIP and I couldn't be more excited, I'm leaving (from Michigan) on the 7th of August and I have a couple of things to share, and a couple of questions to ask as well.

Alright first of all, I'm going down to see my sis who's living there and she can get me tickets to all the parks (Disney, Universal, Seaworld) for half price. Me and my buddies are pretty pleased with that scenario!

That's all I really had to share... okay maybe it was bragging but hey I'm stoked! But on a very serious note here are some concerns I have:

    1) Of course I'm planning on bringing some bud with me (riding rollercoasters high is something I definitely want to experience) so far we have like a half ounce for the 7 day duration of the trip... yeah we might need a little more between 3 people. My question is, what advice can you give me about staying safe from the pigs while driving cross-country with weed? Any advice is warmly accepted, even if you think it's common sense, don't hesitate to share it with me! The ONLY piece of advice that I ask you to refrain from giving is "don't drive with weed!" I'm going to drive with weed for sure :biggrinjester:

    2) Smoking in hotel rooms, yay or nay? I mean, if they don't have a window or balcony, we're definitely not gonna toke in the hotel room. But if there is a window, or better yet, a balcony, do you think we would be safe smoking in our room?

That about does it, I hope you fellow stoners can help me out to make this trip all it can be!

If you are worried about it (as you should be) just don't smoke at ALL in the car. Just keep the weed in one of the bags in the trunk and drive normal. You should be fine if you don't hotbox on the way down.

Smoking in the hotel room comes down to the specific room actually. You need to look for proximity to smoke alarms. If there is a balcony and you could shut a sliding glass door behind it, do that because then the smoke won't leak back into the room. You could always just go on a walk though and smoke a j. I would say for a week between three people at least get an ounce and a half. A half ounce would be so easy to go through by myself on a 7 day no worry vacation. Really if you all brought your own ounce, it would be ideal.

    EDIT

Also be sure to make a sploof as it could come in handy some time. Also ozium will get the smell out of any room fast, but it does smell kind of chemical cleaner for a few min. However you really only need like two sprays to get rid of all the smell in a fabric car that has been hotboxed with multiple blunts and god knows how many bowls from 2 sherlock bubblers.

Hick cops can be a pain in the ass... have a jar or vacuum sealed bag hidden in the trunk, and roll with a j to smoke on the way. Don't roast blunts in the car, they smell too much... Ozium is good shit.... Motels and hotels are usually pretty straight...

Awesome you guys, thanks a ton for replying and giving solid advice! I'd love to smoke on the way down, and I didn't think to bring Ozium, so thanks for the tip!

You got that right man :cheers2:

Next summer my mother is insisting on driving to Florida to stay at a nice ass house that my grandparents rent for a week. Luckily enough that means I will be able to bring loads of pot and glass pieces because I will safely be riding with a family. Plus this house will be within walking distance to the beach so I can just chill there and smoke. I can't wait.

If your hotel/motel room has a smoke detector in it, all you need to do is tape a plastic bag over it. This will prevent the smoke from setting it off. Other than that, just don't smoke in the car and keep it well sealed in some of your luggage in the trunk of your car.

No, I plan on taking I-75, but one of my buddies has made the drive tons of times so he may have something different in mind.

I-95 is straight if you're driving south... if you're driving north through southern states then watch out though....

I am not from the US, so the only piece of advice I can give is bring more weed. A half ounce is definitely not enough to last you a week for three people. An ounce would be acceptable if you space out the times you smoke- but it's way to easy to go through a half ounce in a night.

    An ounce- at least.

    Lastly, enjoy the trip

What i say is dont even take your weed out of your car... if you want to go smoke at a certain location take a couple grams and leave the rest in your car... It may be inconveinient but its way easier to hide than a full oz

Yeah my buddy is gonna make it all into joints pretty much, so we'd take a joint or two with us wherever we go.

roll a couple joints, or leave some weed out that you can hide easily, but still smoke on the way down..
leave the rest in your trunk or somewhere where nobody could find it.

put it where the passenger seat is, under the glove compartment. there should be a ledge there where you can place it on.

the stretch of interstate between knoxville and chattanooga is a gauntlet of drug task forces, they focus just as heavily on southbound traffic as north bound as they enjoy confiscating all that drug money far better than they do the drugs..
also, motels are no problem, just get a smoking room and if it has a door to a hallway be safe and put a towel under the door.
and dont be a fucktard and do something to have someone called to your room..
ive smoked in probably a thousand motel rooms and have NEVER had a problem..

    have a safe trip..
