ah, a life lesson in disguise. sometimes, you have to let go. sometimes you have to admit that 'it' was a waste of money/ time/ braincells, and walk away.

we spent $70 buying a freezer from a relative, and at some point some other relative unplugged it from the surge protector. it was full of meat and roasted peppers.
hubby and i just decided to let it go. we are going to buy a new one, with plenty of room.

if she lives in a good area, chances are they let their neighbors know they are on vacation. a strange car showing up late-night is a bad idea. turning any lights on is a bad idea.

 

They probably know you have a key even if it isnt in recent memory they will remember if you were given said key. And if the only things missing are stuff that you bought then that will be suspicious and they will probably put things together and get you busted. Plus doing that is extremely juvenile. If you bought her the jewelry as a gift, then it is hers. If you steal her fathers stash, then your Kama will catch up with you and you'll get busted or worse. You'll get caught, they know you have a key so you'll be the first suspect. And you bought the jewellery and you said she won't give it back wich is clearly a good motive to steal, and the fingerprints that your going to leave.

yeah but he could easily make it look like someone broke in or hopped through the window, by finding an unlocked window or just leaving a window open... stay on the concrete, don't leave footprints, wear gloves... duh. other than taking the jewelry which would be really obvious it was him, he could just take other stupid shit like dvd's, cd's, meds etc. open drawers and cabinets, leave shit laying out, making it look obvious that someone got into things... he could easily make it look like some stupid juveniles broke in. was that a pun?...

this is a pretty bad idea though, its not worth the risks if they do trace it back to u... and the jewelry, what'd be the point? it better not be for keeping... i'd get rid of it as soon as possible. when was the last time u asked for ur stuff back? and how do u know they're leaving on a trip? it seems ur still in contact with her... which is probably a bad thing making it more obvious.

Umm what about a house alarm? most people put an alarm on when they go on vacation. Also, if you get caught you can get into serious trouble. It's wrong and not worth it.
