saw him live last summer. Venue holds just under 1.000 people. Powerful, high energy show, good support musicians, and the crowd was so happy. I knew him as "one of the guitar wizards I know I heard. " very nice show. And I don't normally go to "mainstram" shows.
bridge of sighs is a gem! He is basically the white hendrix..though many others can gain that honor too. he came to fame shortly after JMs death.
trower is fuckin awesome! very underrated. if you ask me it was the wrong time era or somethin. i went to see him last year but i ended up getting shitty directions & then robbed...so i never got to see him..damnit!
Trower is sick ... and speak of Bridge of Sighs... how bout his vibrato ??!!!?? damn! very good lyrics too that was one of the first prolly ... 3 songs I learned to play too ... i've improved it a little :leaving:
I love Robin Trower, been a fan going back to his days with Procol Harum, though his solo days when "Bridge of Sighs" was released in 74, up to his days with Jack Bruce in BLT in the 80s. He's a true guitar god, no less than Hendrix or Clapton.
Bridge of Sighs took things in a whole new direction This is off toplc, but if you like this piece you must hear Jeff Beck's Blow by Blow
Trower is cool, from the little I've heard. Check out this "Can't Wait Much Longer" cover, really good! http://youtube.com/watch?v=Z6eCkkDETGQ
how about too rolling stoned? ah yes..great song. or shame the devil..shit they're all good what am i sayin..
