Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry

I just started reading this book today. I've had friends tell me its a great book. DO NOT spoil anything just tell me if you liked the book or not. Was it happy, sad or mysterious?

 

Liked it. Sad.

Had to read it in Jr. High.

 

Yeah, I remember thinking it was good, but sad. I read it when I was a kid.

 

I read it as a kid as well... it's a nice sad story, but truly nothing spectacular.

 

I read that when I was about 10 and it was my favorite book for a few years. I can still remember how sad it was and how it made me feel like I had to do something but I couldn't. There are a few sequels that are really great as well.

 

I think I read it in 5th grade or something, so I can't remember it too much, but I think i enjoyed it. I mostly just remember the cover and how I liked the title

 

I THINK I had to read it in either 6th or 7th grade... or maybe I just read it on my own.

Anyway, it was really good.
I think I bought the sequel(s), too? I can't remember.
