Driving around Phoenix today I saw signs all over the place for The Ron Paul revolution. Ron Paul is a 70 something Dr that was a congressman for Texas. For the older folks you might remember him because he ran for president in the 80's. He is very interesting and I'm not sure what to think about him. He is running for president again. What do you all think? Or have you even heard of him?
I think most relatively informed people know well who he is. He is the only REAL candidate running, and of course because of this he is being ignored and thus has no real chance of winning. I haven't seen ANY Ron Paul signs or stickers around here. They're all probably voting for Billary.
They just started popping up today. They have hit Arizona and New York first. I am relatively informed but I usually don't even bother to look at republicans.
Ya he seems to be there are a couple of things that I don't agree with but for the most part he is miles above the rest.
I love Ron Paul's platform, except that he wants to pull our troops out of Iraq. So far, he seems like the only genuine candidate, one who's not playing a popularity game and sucking dicks for campaign donations, but then again, it's the ones that play that popularity game that win the elections.
Maybe Ron Paul's problem is that his supporters keep telling everyone how great he is and at the same time they tell them not to bother voting because of the conspiracy!1!!!!!!1one!!!
The only thing I dont really like about him is that hes pro-life... other than that he sounds like a stand up guy.
I really wish I could like him, as I'm sure he's a fine and upstanding man , but his beliefs lead me to believe the complete opposite. I have no respect for anyone who supports building a wall. For someone who seems to be so pro-small government and wants to get rid of the IRS, I certainly wonder where he thinks the money and bureaucracy behind that would come from. I will give him one thing- there are only 3 candidates I can stand and he's one of them. And he's probably the best in terms of sticking to his guns- even if his guns are in the completely wrong place.
You wonder where the money would come from? Where do you think it came from before the federal income tax and the terroristic IRS was established? The money paid in income taxes goes to the private owners of the Federal Reserve, to pay off the national debt that is a result of the fiat system THEY created.
Look at this garbage... fucking Fox News. Fox News Explains Ron Paul's High Poll Numbers Of course, there's no way that Ron Paul might actually appeal to people. No, it must be rigged.
I think it's more suspicious that Romney came in first. Ron Paul is a standup guy, and I think people are really starting to wake up if he's coming in that high. Of course, the media ignores him and downplays his popularity. That's what they always do to anyone worth voting for, because at the highest levels, the media corporations are owned by the same people running the political drama we call presidential elections. The media is the key decider of who gets votes. They give the coverage to the predefined "winners" and ignore everyone else. And for the people (can't remember their names) who were discussing where he stands on abortion: Abortion is a talking point given to us by the media to distract us from real issues. Same with gay marriage, Paris Hilton and a slew of other comparitively meaningless drivel. You shouldn't be worried about whether he "pro-life" or "pro-choice", you should be worried about whether he'll stand up for your freedom. There is now a very real threat of outright fascism in the United States (and the rest of the world -- it's not a one nation agenda). You can be arrested and held indefinitely without charge, for no reason at all, with no access to legal counsel, and the right of habeas corpus suspended. This is either going to get worse or better very soon, and unless people start to realize what's going on, everyone will be split up into manipulated sides, fighting with each other and blind to their common enemy, when the deal goes down. So, stop talking about abortion and gay marriage. They're just issues that are invented to distract us. You need to focus beyond that, on the thing that really matters. Freedom.
Unless Ron Paul can break out and find media coverage he doesn't stand a chance. How many times have any of us heard his name mentioned on the political pundit shows on Sundays, or heard him mentioned in the major media....why is that? Seems like a shut out to me.
Like Howard Dean garnered internet support in the last election, which he sold out...don't think Ron would do that we have to be vocal and make him part of the news!
