Yeah, so I told my roommate at the end of august I'd be moving out at the end of September. Paid Septembers rent and bills and what not, and my place to move to fell through so I decided to stay. Our friendship has deteriorated so much now that she's decided she's moving out. Within the week. Leaving me no notice, and no money. This bitch wont find it so funny when the bills that were in her name don't get paid because I don't have the fucking rent money....... errr maybe I'll just take the eviction and use the money to file my bankruptcy(I'm not going to do it just for this incident, it needs to be done anyway)

If she wasn't just up and bouncing, I wouldn't be broke...... I work two jobs incase stuff like this happens, but I got no notice and my checks will be just under what I need to pay the rent. Let alone my gas etc.

I'll definately get the last laugh. If she doesn't give me rent money and she leaves her stuff there, I'll change the locks on her until she does.

yeah, they are, but I think there's still time to file under the old laws. Atleast I hope so. Otherwise, I've got a lot of repaying to do.

I dunno.... I don't think you could handle my attitude... There are times when I say things and even I'm like "Oh shit, what'd I just say?"

I.e. I was fighting with my roommate once and she complained that I slept on the couch and she couldn't watch tv. Well I'd let her daughter sleep in my bed so she could do her thing in her room. One thing led to another and while I was trying to say, "Bitch, your kid pissed in my bed" I ended up saying "Your bitch pissed in my bed"

Try recovering from a line like that.....

Even with the old laws, the extensions to make it show up longer on your credit record etc. still apply.

I'm 70k + in debt, I'd much rather see that 1 bankruptcy mark on there for the next 10 years than see a list that looks like this

    15,800 - Sallie Mae
2,800 - Late charges, Sallie Mae
700 bounced check - Best Buy
430 Fees for bounced check - TCU
    180 - Bank One
    8,000 - Repo'd Car
    2,000 - Westlake Apts

Followed by 40-50k in various medical bills......... I'd say Bankruptcy looks much better at this point.

ouch those student loans are a bitch I'm about 20-25k in debt. Student loans do not get erased with bankruptcy though): and I'm about 10k in credit card debt): and still owe 8k on my car...so I feel ya it bites.

I checked with sallie mae, I am able to file bankruptcy on them, but I'll never be eligible for student loans through their company again..... Which I can live with....

That's the one reason I don't want to leave Indiana. My mom works at the community college full time so I get free classes. Other than that I want to get the fuck out of here....Just don't know if I should or not.
