Hi all. I was wondering how you tighted your roots. Do you to the clockwise rubbing method?
If there is another thread on roots, just post it (and I apologize). I saw the "Basics Answered Here" but it was 14 pages of replies! So I am just wondering how everyone does theirs.
    Thanks
    Pamela

I let my dreads go. I guess they will tighten when they are ready. Sorry this isn't helpful. Good luck with your locks!

My boyfriend twists the loose hairs in his fingers until they are really tight and then wrap it around the dread and then knots it through itself. Not only does it get rid of loose hairs, but keeps the root in tact.

so you end up with a huge knot at the root? Wouldn't that make your dreads really really bumpy?

Actually if you wind the hair around evenly, it creates a smooth dread...at least his are really smooth.

I have the same problem. My dreads are looking nice at the bottons, but not at the roots. My b/f told me that they just dread by themselves when they are ready. that's how his worked.
