He's a great musician...his style is hard to pin down. You should definately check him out.

Probably due to his drug addiction...his songs seem very autobiographical.

 

i wish i could write autobiographical stuff all i seem to write are songs about love/breakups and a few songs about nothing.. pooey.

 

i think it was because elliott smith was completly overwhelemd with depression, along with a drug addiction.
