our roses seem to be diseased - my mom says its from the weeds that are attacking them but their really arent that many weeds and they look like they are just diseased.... i asked if we could just take them up since they dont really look too nice anyway but she seems very attatched to them, her and my dad planted them when they moved into this house... anyway i was wondering if you guys could tell me whatsup, they seem to have spots all over and a lot of leaves where spots have taken over pull off very easily. i highlighted around one of the most diseased branches and some of the leaves to show you what it looks like, so maybe someone here can help us keep these alive and healthy? maybe i need to move them because i think i remember reading an organic farming method that often has to be used for success is crop rotation because plants in the same place will often get diseased???? they need to be properly spaced anyway i think, cuz i wanna put some blueberry bushes in between them but the proportion is all off..... also, i gotta acuba bush in my backyard that is overgrowing onto our heating things or whatever, and a landscaper a while back took off a bunch of cuttings and planted them somewhere else, did he just plant them or did he use some kind of root hormone or water to get them going cuz i dont wanna just throw away these huge cuttings im gonna have to take....
Looks like blackspots, there is a spray you can get for it at any place that sells garden supplies. I dont know what causes it but we have this like 50 year old rose bush and it gets them sometimes and my mom buys a spray for it. Hope that helps.
A lot of plants can be cloned by just putting them in a bucket of water for 2 or 3 weeks, if the plant is a hard wood type then I would do that. Rooting harmone would help out a lot tho. I grow lemon trees from the seeds I get when I eat them, and I have this one that was the first one I grew and I thought it was dieing so i took a cutting and dipped it in a rooting hormone and the clone is doing great(the original plant was just water logged and its doing fine now after I let it dry out) The hormone I have is Schultz rooting hormone. Its a powder, and all you do is wet the bottom of the cutting, dip it in the powder and plant it.
