"S" shape

can anyone tell me why some of my dreads are making an S shape. I washed them yesterday is this why? Does this mean they are locking or what?

 

it could be two loops on either side of the lock. is your hair wavy? i have curly hair and some of the locks are shaped like curls.

loops go away and come back, but the curly locks look like they'll always be curly unless they get too heavy and stretch themselves out.

 

My hair is slightly wavy. Most of my locks are perfectly straight. Some make a u-turn at the end

 

its a good thing if they are making a s shape. it just means they are getting tighter

 

they will get straight again after they shrink and tighten.
