that's awful, jester... i'm so sorry to hear it. i hope you take him to see a vet, asap; it sounds like he's in a lot of pain. it might be best to have him put down if he's really doing poorly and it doesn't look like he's going to get much better. oh.... that's terrible..... really, lots of love and good luck to you & your pet... peace, sophia
I agree you should take him to a vet ASAP. He must be in awful pain! The problem won't correct itself and will infact probably worsen if he doesn't get treatment. If they are closed most vets (atleast every one I've ever known) have emergency lines for stuff like that. Sorry to hear that.....that's terrible. Hopefully it is something that can be corrected and he can go on living.
Did you take him to the vet? How'd it go? Injuries often tend to look real bad, and of course not everything can be fixed, but lots of times something can be done, bones can be set and all... I'd never take a decision about a serious injury without asking my vet, myself!
I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 horse and 1 mouse... i hate having to put my animals down. My dogs that have just passed were 24 yrs old. They were just too old for their own good. They couldnt breath properly, hear or see... Sometimes you have to put your desires of love and affection and do whats right for them... It is a rly hard decision though....
Yeah. I used to have a dog, and one day my dog fell off roof of my my house. He looked pretty terrible but a vet managed to nurse him to health. That being said, I recommend that you see a vet
Id admit ive never seen a dog or anything with alot of bloody involved. The most blood that i have ever seen involving an animal was when my horse reared up in my face and had its knee in my nose. Broke my nose and lost alot of blood. I pasted out to make up with a puddle of blood! But i was fine as soon as we relized that there were no ice packs, so i had to use some frozen bread!
hope your dog's ok man! i have seen vet programs where they have managed to put false jaws on animals, and i remember seeing a duck that had lost the lower half of its beak and they managed to make a replacement. it might be possible to fix if it gets help in time. let us know how he gets on. peace and love stardust xxx
I dont understand why you are posting about it on an internet forum instead of rushing to the vet. People like you seriously make me wonder. Your dog is obviously still alive, with a broken jaw, SUFFERING... and you can't decide if you want to kill it or not?!!?!?! Maybe you should get a houseplant instead.
I think that you should still take him to the vet. Their might be something worse going on that you can't see. I don't see how he can't be in any pain anymore. If your jaw were to be ran over would you not automatically be rushed to the hospital!? It is no different.
exactly. its extremely irresponsible of you and quite frankly, cruel of you not to get the dog the help that she or he needs. and she still does need to see a vet. even if the problem has "corrected itself' as you say, a confirmation of that is needed by a vet....and i doubt that it has truley corrected itself.
