Anyone heard of saliva? its a drug and plant bt its legal over here... Seems pretty interesting... Its getting more and more popular... However its banned in the US... I think it might be sage or closely related... Not sure. But there was a news article about it... (citzenship lesson we had to look on the news, do a short 30 sec report and we were gonna do about how some spiders venom was like viagra but apparently that was 'inappropriate' so we did this) This was the original report from the lesson : BBC -Salvia I found this just now: Inside Out - Salvia Its really freaked me out... Its like so easy to obtain... I do wanna grow sage now though... lol. I would never consider any of the other drugs (weed etc) but im torn with this one... I dunno. It doesnt sound dangerous. Sounds like they're going Over The Top. I loved that quote describing it - "My body felt like it was a palette of paint thrown on a canvas and slowly moving down it." Most people apparently dont wish to do it again... But i want to do something someday. What do you think?
Well, I know it's one of the strongest hallucinogens known. The fact it's legal doesn't make it any better, or any worse than weed. Don't be so naive to think that because it's illegal it must be bad; use your common sense. I'd be a hypocrite if I said for you not to do drugs at the age of 14, and I ain't going to patronise you, but what I will say is don't marvel at it and consider it more than it actually is. If you want to do, then do it. Have a good time and enjoy yourself. Also, don't be stupid and at least do abit of reading up on drugs before you put anything into your body.
LOL i never said that, what i dont want is to get done by my parents because they will NEVER trust me again, thats why i would never consider anything illegal. This is legal so they have no reason to kill me, cept its a drug etc but you know what i mean. And i have read up on drugs. I dont want to be ignorant, i wanna know about these things. This is easy to obtain : from your average shop or grow it yourself. Thats why i am actually considering it. And dont think im doing it yet... Maybe when im NOT living with my folks... You need someone sober supervising the first time so id wait till uni or college etc And i dont think its THAT much but i dont just want to be happy for a few hours or however long it is. I want more... I cant remember how someone described it... I will get back on that one.
i've done Salvia before and loved it. interesting you say it is illegal in the States as I ordered it when I lived in the States from a shop and it was totally legal then, so don't know if that's changed in the past few years or not. but at any rate, i can't remember what 'x' of it i did (it comes in 5x, 10x, 15x, etc.) bascially multiplying the strength. i know i put some in a bong and tried it on it's own. i have to say now, that i enjoy a smoke now and then, but hubby hates it so i usually lock myself away in a room somewhere to smoke so it doesn't bother him (the smell mainly). i had locked myself away in the bathroom and had took one hit of it. i nearly dropped my really expensive glass bong! at this point, (as the hallway was very narrow leading to the bathroom and right next to the stairs), i opened the door and called hubby. i remember telling him that it was one of the most powerful things i'd ever experienced, and i thought if i took another hit while sitting in the bathroom there'd be no way that i could walk to the living room without breaking my neck and falling down the stairs. even with one hit, i had him help me to get to the living room safely, as i felt that disoriented already. so now, nice and cozy on the living room sofa, i took another hit. i had the bong this time securely in my hands and also between my legs (sitting indian style) so i couldn't drop it. i took a hit, and held it (like you would with weed) and then as i exhaled the most prolific visions filled my head! i felt like i was in the Circus Circus like in the movie of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I was laughing hysterically (to the point that hubby - who wasn't as knowledgeable about drug experiences had started to get worried); but for me it was the time of my life! I saw all sorts of lights and colours, heard all sorts of sounds, it was magical. I can't remember how long it lasted, I dont' remember how many hits i took from that point on. I just remember that first few minutes of utter bliss and euphoria unlike any hallucinogen i've taken. What I was also amazed at is how quick it all came on, unlike other hallucinogens that take time to come on (sometimes an hour or two) it was instantaneous, much like a hit of weed will instantly make you feel a bit 'buzzy'. if you ever do decide to try it, definitely be somewhere you feel safe and especially as you haven't had any other drug experiences be with someone you know and trust that is sober or a lot more knowledgeable about this sort of stuff. and well, i would wait until you are a bit older. not trying to be patronizing, at all; but i think some people do tend to start their 'drugs experiences' too young in life. and well it's not hypocritical of me to say that as i never touched cigs even until i was 18 (legal age in the States). ... that all being said ... i agree with Luke, don't think that something is 'harmful' just because it is illegal. there have been plenty of studies released this year (reported on the BBC as well) from renowned scientists here in England about how arcane the drug laws are, and how things like Tobacco and Alcohol are a lot more harmful than cannabis and a handful of other psychedelics (lsd, mushrooms, ecstacy, to name a few). remember, whatever you do, just be safe. oh, and don't know if you're parents will track down you looking at the site and being concerned or not; but I have always found Erowid to be a good source of info about all drugs legal and illegal.
I am in two minds about drugs, i know at some point I'll do weed, but though I'm curious about psychedelics, I'm not sure I really want to change myself THAT much. I ahve a feeling glastonbury is going to be where I make up my mind, roll on two years time!
Salvia can be very strong. The leaf itself does hardly anything, but when you get the extract, espcially the stronger extracts, 12X, 20X, it starts to get very potent. The effects don't last as long as being stoned, but they can be much more intense. It was enjoyable enough, and quite strange, but I wouldn't say it was pleasant in a recreational way....
It's legal in every US state except Louisiana.. damn rednecks. Maybe you're thinking of Australia. I say go for it, it's an intense ride but if you've never done psychedelics before (I asume you haven't) be prepared to leave reality behind. fun times. Salvia just confused me Some random at a party sat beside me and started telling me about it and offered me a pipe. I pretty much tried anything at that age and filled my lungs. But nothing happened. He gave me a couple more pipe-fulls and when I replied again that it wasn't doing anything, he took off to find someone who'd love it as much as he did. I guess anyway, he didn't seem suited that I wasn't won over. Headed off to the bathroom and it had turned into an Ice Kingdom! Everything shone all blue/white and there was even an Emperor sat up on an Ice Throne, bunch of minians scattered around him. I figured I'd best ask permission to use his toilet and it was granted to me. Then I got myself the hell out of there. And everything was normal again downstairs. So aye, very strange. I didn't realise at the time that Salvia might of been responsible. Just sat there wondering what on earth just happened. It wasn't scary, but wasn't amazing either. And I didn't feel any buzz from it whatsoever. I've never bothered with it since. Nee point in drugs if there's nee buzz I agree with Sal that it's not really recreational. I suppose if you just want to sit there and trip out for a bit then why not?
Salvia is just shite. It's like being stoned and waiting to come up on mushrooms...for 10 minutes. Worth it? I think not.
It's legal, yes, God only knows why. Either way, it can make you trip your nuts off, so I doubt you 'rents would approve, legal or not. Like all drugs, it depends entirely on the user what the experience will be like, and all drugs have potential side-effects. It can be very bad shit, can cause bad trips in those with less stable mindsets, and like all hallucinogens can be potentially very dangerous, dependant on the nature of the hallucinations. If you really, really must do it (and I strongly advise you don't, especially if you have never used other drugs before), then make sure you have someone sit with you the whole time who is sober and staright, just in case anything should go awry. Persopnally, for a first experience with drugs, I think you'd be better off leaving it well alone. Strikes me you're on something of a 'rebel' mission... There are other ways to have fun than geetting off your tits you know... despite whatever boasting your mates might be doing (half of them are probably lying, anywa, just to gain kudos in the school yard).
lol my mates arent doing drugs. Im not on a rebel mission. And i dont plan to get off my tits, well so many people talk about drugs on this forum its gonna have an effect. bearing in mind I AM NOT GONNA TAKE SALVIA maybe in the future say 10 yrs time prolly more IF i do it.
I have a little bush on my sill and make my own extractions now and then. It also makes a nice tea. It is a sacred plant and should not be used as just another way to get high, many people abuse it in this fashion and then complain about it not making them feel how they wanted. It is holy and should be treated as such, not used recreationally. Reports like that BBC one do it no favours, as with most things of this nature all publicity is bad publicity. Kids see it and think 'ooh, legal drugs, cool', try it, spin out, attention is drawn to it and it's made illegal. Salvia divinorum is a great tool for insight purposes and trance states but by no means is it meant to be a fun experience. If you want to get high just smoke a joint instead.
hmmm now i dont want to get high. I actually want an insight, thats why i do medidation too... But i suck at it all. And you dont know what i think and if its not aimed at me then well fine. But for some reason i think it is.

My comments were more aimed at the 'don't bother, it's shit, it doesn't properly get you high' lot It was irresponsible people (sellers and users) that got mushrooms banned two years ago and irresponsible people (younguns on school trips jumping out of windows etc) that just got them banned in holland. I don't want to see that with more and more entheogens over here because of fools who don't understand psychedelics, can't handle psychedelics and use magic plants irresponsibly just because they want to get high
One could say the same thing about mushrooms. I don't believe in the sacred, but I do agree it's not the most recreational of highs....
first time i tried it i was scared , very , i wasnt expecting it to hit me the way it did , i left earth for a bit, you jus forget everything ,like everything,wot u are , who u are ,where u are , , second time i left my tv on cos i cudnt stand the silence , had two bongs , then all of a sudden i had no body , jus a consious awareness , the news reader man on tv was discussing with something in the room about which parts of my body i could have back , i get them back bit at a time , ive never hullicinated audio before , but he was talking about me , i havent smoked any since , makes me uncomfortable noin my rents cud walk up an see this jibbering slobed out mess, x15
