Is it possible to tattoo over scars? If it is, will the ink last the same as on normal skin? I've only got a little tattoo right now, but I have some ugly arm scarrage that I would like to cover up eventually. Thank you! ~Nova
Where are the scars located? What type of scar? I think these two questions could possibly determine the outcome. Not that I'm an expert... In some nations, there are restrictions. For example, not being allowed to have tattoos on the top of the head. If you live in a nation whose religious views are very fundamentalist, you might not be able to get a tattoo, let alone on more private areas. If I were you, I would ask my doctor, and then ask the place where you want to get the tattoo.
my cousins huband did that he got in a bad bike acadent so he got tattoos to cover the nasty scars, ask you doctor and the person you get the tattoo from its you could do it, i think you probly could if the scar isnt to bad
yes - it will be more difficult for the artist, if it's a big scar they may charge you more. you may need more than one sitting to get the ink to take. ask first! probably not - but then again maybe it will, depending on how well you take care of it. if there's some way you can incorporate the scar into the tattoo design, you can make something outstanding - i've seen some really cool stuff done with scars.
they can do beautiful work over scars....just grab a tattoo mag that is dedicated to covering tatts...they are beautiful...of course it also depends on how reputable the local shops are where u live.
