Scorpions suck

So I just got stung by a scorpion about 30 minutes ago for the first time ever. On my tiniest toe, what suck! I was getting up from the chair in the living room (yes, we live in the country) and the little motherfucker stung me, then made his way directly under my friend's shoe across the room. Aside from initial pain, swelling, and all out panic, I'm okay, lol. But all I've ever heard was scorpion stings = hospital visits, so I was reaaaaally flipping out. But I guess that one wasn't too bad, we'll see as the night progresses, currently I have a paste of baking soda and water on there cuz my dad said he heard that helps stings. Dunno if it helps, it's kinda numb now anyway, but the swelling went down and now it's just a little puffy. Any suggestions from anyone besides go to the hospital? Because unless it gets worse, I'm poor and don't have all night to sit at the emergency room.

Take an antihistamine such as benadryl. Right now. You'll feel better.

 

Aside from the antihistamine, do a cool compress on it.

Get some ice water, but it on a washcloth, and cover the sting.

Yeah that shit hurts like a bitch. I had a scorpion in my bed a few years ago, and it stung the fuck outta my ankle.

 

I was comming back from really rough desert camping once. Back home, had a great shower, first one in days so it felt great.

So I was putting on boxers. Felt something pinching my upper leg. Felt it again.

Looked down. Scorpion. Got stung twice on the upper leg like centimeters away from the good sruff. Slapped him down. Stung once more.

Murdered with spite.

 

Seriously though Amanda, you're going to be fine. If you can take a picture of the scorpion for me if possible.

If not, benadryl. Cold compress. You'll be fine.

I have a camera, but it doesn't do justice for it. It doesn't take high enough detail images, and the swelling's almost gone completely down by now. I think I'll be fine, lol.

 

Oh yeah, and we can't find the scorpion, it's ground into the rug. Heh...he wanted to really make sure it was dead.

 

Damn, that's a close call. Even though you got stung 3 times, I'm sure you were still VERY thankful you stopped the little bastard in time, before something terrible happened. It's bad enough having a mosquito bite on your dick, which has happened to me; I can't imagine how shitty it would be if a scorpion got ahold of it. haha

Oh yeah. I felt a stroke of luck even though I got stung,

I did have a dog bit my crotch when I was real young. Too young to remember the pain clearly fortunately.

 

I'm a little hesitant about the Benadryl because it knocks me out like a light, lol. I took 2 and slept for 12 hours on Saturday. I still have to eat dinner and ...live for at least 4 more hours.
