seamstress not returning emails?

what do you do when someone has told you more than once they'd love to make things for you, yet when you try to contact them about it, they never respond? I'm gettin really frustrated! This is the second time this has happened to me with a seamstress, and i mean, i'm not scary or anything??? wtf, why would someone turn away business like that?! Someone even once did that here to me!! I was shocked. I would never turn anyone away.....

 

I get that all the time on my store! People leave comments on the different entries and say, "ooh that's cute, I'm interested!" and then nothing happens. "That chaps my hide!", as my sister would say.

 

Join the club. We do appreciate those comments, it shows interest.... but it doesn't pay the bills. i guess it could be the time of year, I want to recall a slump in business around this time last year. I think in the past month we have had three orders, one of those was for a custom made garment.

I said im trying to contact someone to make something for me, and she's offered her services and now she's not responding.


I show interest in things all the time and don't buy them, sometimes it's not worth $80 + 15 shipping to me for a 6 x 6 purse ...or whatever. That's just business. Blowing off your customers is most certainly not.

 

Please contact other service providers in that industry.

You might even receive a lower price.

Please come back and post your results.

maybe they're just busy and cant find the time to respond.. its shitty, but it happens. just send another email if you're still intrested, and just ask for them to get back to you whenever possible.. even if it is a month down the road.. if the item you want them to make you is something you're confident they'll do an awesome job on, maybe its worth the wait : )

 

I know its most likely not the reason but you could be getting lost in the spam filters, But I agree it sucks if they cant respond to your email I wouldnt want to do business with them.

 

Yeah, it might be spam filters, or they might just have something going on. If she has a website, you might want to check it for the latest update date. What is it you were trying to order?

 

the messages are through myspace so i assure you it's not a spam filter.


i'm annoyed to say the least. I need these new clothes like, last month....and she was aware of this. I don't have time to wait. I can surely say if she does get back to me anytime soon, i wont be giving her my business.
