Everytime a Saw movie has come out the past 2 years they've said it would be the last one. I wish they would stick to their word already.
All of those sound like they'll be terrible except for 28 Months Later and District 10.
I think it's ridiculous that they're remaking movies that are less than 25 years old, they must be getting really bored.

 

some of those are alright, and some of those probably won't happen cuz thyre based on rumors (like saw 8). and the rest, yes groan. not a reliable source.
ive known about sin city 2 and i'm not reluctant about that because i heard it'll be made by good directors.
and as for the movies older than 20 years being remade, it doesn't really matter. if you don't feel like seeing it, fine then dont go see them. but in the future, our decade will probably be known for these remakes and i dont necessarily think that as a bad thing because they might be better than future movies. ya never know.
and i dont think captain america is a totally bad idea, there was never a previous one made.

they didnt say that about the past ones. i've been a saw fan since #2, and the 7th movie has been known to be the last one since then.

 

District 9 is a funny one, when I first saw it I was blown away, but its hard to watch on repeat viewings cos it has such a nasty life-means-nothing vibe to it

Expected a sequel, assume that sequel to be the aliens come back and kick our ass, but dont really see how they are going to recreate that nastiness vibe


Ghost Busters 3 could work as long as they acknowledge their all way past it and thats part of the plot, and part of the jokes. But if its some lame teach the new generation of Ghost Busters thing its gonna suck

Saw 8 and 9 - I stopped watching these at 3, I didn't know how many there were...damn

Scary Movie 5 [Hell, why not.]

Honestly, I think no remake can surpass the charm and humor of the original, found in quotes such as "An intellectual carrot. The mind boggles." (Ned 'Scotty' Scott - the reporter)

Sadly, the title is the only reference remaining of the original story, which was nice, creating an alien world which has been surpassed so far only by James Cameron's creation of Pandora and which had a different take at the usual good vs. evil dichotomy.
The sequel will deal with an evil female who wants to break the crystal to use a shard of it to re-ignite the dying sun of the planet the crystal's on (a planet called Thra in the novel to the original movie...). It sounds like turning the charming story into some other SciFi action flick I wouldn't want to see... if it were about Jen and Kira building their new world in the bright light of the healed crystal, as it was told to them at the happy ending of the original movie, I'd be happier.
Plus: there's no Fizzgig in the sequel! Therefore it already has to suck!

They're also remaking Stephen King's It!

 

This could be good if its in the right hands, that made for tv movie did no justice to what I've heard/read of the book. Unfortunately 90% of Stephen King novels turned movie are lame so I won't get my hopes up to high.

I'm down for x-men those are entertaining, I didn't see the wolverine one though. The thing could possibly be good too.

 

Although in the TV movie version, Tim Curry was neat as Pennywise, IMO. He just has a knack for playing guys wearing heavy makeup...

kick ass 2 and district 10 are the only movies from the list I will be seeing.

To be fair,...it is perfectly possible that you can avoid all of these films and find what you consider "quality cinema"...atleast these sequels/remakes will have some semblance to the original idea...rather then direct to DVD trash of which there is HUNDREDS made EVERY year.
