Do you feel it's a good thing to be, or bad?

How do you feel about being selfish in the world we live in today?

    Yes.

So far I've found that people who are selfish accomplish more things in life then those who are thoughtful, but where do you draw the line?

You have to reach deep down inside of yourself to find where the line must be drawn.

    Society is full of shit.

Easier said then done. I sometimes contemplate what is selfish, and what is the right thing to do.

Exactly, so that is where I draw the line.

I think it's a false dichotomy. Why are people thoughtful if not for selfish reasons?

    Because it takes away ones:

    a) freedom
    b) self-expression and exploration
    c) life

It forces one to become assimilated and live a life according to some unwritten yet prisonlike rules.
In other words, society creates slaves. And I do not believe in slavery.

Because people are sheepish, powerhungry, moneyhorny, emotional unstable, helpless beings. Because people care too much about what their neighbour thinks. We are scared.

From my own conscience, and from Buddhist teachings.

This is the best post I have read from you since your return.
