well, a pack of assholes trails you around relentlessly after your trust has been COMPLETELY defiled and your naked picture is all over the place, well, yeah, i can see that really bothering someone.

 

I don't see someone commiting suicide over it though.. she probably had some other kind of issues

bullying is very real, and can do a lot of damage to a young person....

a girl in my high school committed suicide because of bullying too...you need to remember how important social status and acceptance is in teenage years....
and when you're not on the accepted end, your life can be made very difficult and unpleasant by those who deem you not good enough...

its a tough fuckin world with mounting pressure by the day to be someone who fits into the very tight mould society as created for us.

yeah I've been bullied. a good deal actually. and while, yes it does suck, it's something that should REALLY affect someone who is maybe 13, 14, 15.... but 18?

people can be bullied their entire lives, age is but a number....

 

well, age is more than that. her frontal lobe control isn't complete yet at 18. hell, it might not be fully developed until she's 25. and let's face it, some people are just hardier than others.

I don't see how three years would make such a huge difference in how bullying affects you. She was still in high school.

 

She was 18 though.... don't you think that someone should realize, if they choose to send out naked pictures of themselves via text message, that there is a good chance other people will see/find out?

Yeah I get that. They said she was taking responsibility for her actions etc. She went and talked to the reporter to try and stop other girls from doing it too...

That doesn't mean she should have to be able to live with harassment for however long.

EVERYONE gets picked on in high school. it's stupid to intentionally do things to intensify it, but killing yourself after doing so is a whole new level of pathetic.

and the mom wants to blame the school!? what the fuck did the school have to do with it? did the school send naked pics of the ugly chick? did the school pick on her incessantly? did the school tie a rope around her and hang her from her closet? maybe the mom should have done something when she saw that her own daughter was obviously going through a very difficult time..
