    No.

I would elaborate, but I don't talk about basketball on this forum. No one really cares.

    cool.

i don't watch a whole lotta basketball, but shaq to the cavs seems like it might work. there was that ego clash between him and kobe on the lakers, but i think lebron seems a lot more humble than kobe so they might actually play well together. some people argue that shaq's gettin too old though, so i dunno.

Just like no one gives a fuck about aerospace engineering.

There are better places to discuss such subjects than this forum.

There wasn't really that much of an ego clash. That's all just media hype generated by the NBA to fight declining ratings.

I don't know, the Lakers picked up Artest, who is a better forward than most in the league. The Lakers are just stacked...yet again.

    Whole lot of spectacle.

I don't like the spectacle, but I absolutely love the basketball and the statistics.

Shaq might work on a team that doesn't fast break, but he's too slow for a running team. He's almost done.

Cleveland doesn't fastbreak too often, and Shaq doesn't really have to run much.

All in all, don't expect him to play more than 20-25 mpg (with a few exceptions).

It does give them a post presence, but Shaq isn't quick (or dare I say intelligent) enough to stop the Dwights and Amares of the league.

This is simply a desperation move my Cleveland in order to coax James to stay.

I doubt they get passed the 2nd round this year.

Shaq is still good for a double double off a couple games rest
which gives the rest of the team enough incentive to win the championship

Too bad that the rest of the team (that one wanker and Mo not included) lack the talent to win a championship.

i'm sure they'll develop into more all around better players. if you can't improve yoru play when on the same team as LBJ then you shouldn't be in the NBA - get your pussy ass into the wnba

-Zelly is next to done for with his injuries.
-Varejao might not even stay with the team, but does look promising. The NBA will probably propose a new anti-flopping rule this offseason, so that will destroy his pussy ass D game.
-Delonte West is past his prime and is extremely inconsistent.
-Mo ain't gettin' any better, and has insecurity issues.
-Gibson is very promising, yet still undersized and weak for a NBA player
-Pavlovic and Szczerbiak are more trade-bait than players
-Hickson is still too young to make a difference
    -Everyone else is irrelevant

    NO [IMG]

The Celtics just signed Rasheed Wallace and after they sign Grant Hill
they’ll be the prohibitive favorite coming out of the east :cheers2:

Unless all the other teams band together and conspire to break KG's and Allen's ankles.

    It could easily happen.

    They are extremely injury prone.

I cannot stand the Celtics, but... from an objective perspective... I don't think they're gonna win it. There are too many "what-if" scenarios with that team. What happens if one of the big 3 gets injured?

Sheed can't carry a team at PF at his age.
They don't really have a SF, and Grant Hill can't be a starter.
House isn't a good defensive player and won't be a good enough substitute for Ray Allen.

This equation could apply to any team, but the Celtics are so injury prone that it hurts.

Other than that... they still don't have a quality big man. (Perkins is average, at best... while Big Baby will never hit that buzzer beater again)

Rondo might get traded due to problems with management.

But all in all... it is now or never for the Celts.
