So I met this chick at my college. I bummed a cigarette off of her and we started talking. I liked her and thought that she was kind of cute so i started talking to her online. She invited me to a Cinco De Mayo party and I went and that night I stayed at her place we made out for 5 hours but did not have sex. We kept talking and tonight she is coming to my radio show to hang out and then we are going out to eat.
The day after I made these plans with her I got to thinking. I heard from others that she is the kind of girl that needs a boyfriend as a kind of "crutch," if you will. I don't want that kind of relationship. I also do not feel the same way she does towards me anymore, not just because of what I've heard from others.
I'm not really sure of what to do in this situation. I do not want to break it to her so badly that she wouldn't talk to me anymore but I don't want her coming after me anymore.
I don't know what I should say. I was thinking of just saying "look, i'm sorry that I lead you on a little bit but I just don't feel the same way towards you." I'm also not sure when I should say it. Would it be best to tell her over a text message?
    thanks

you shouldnt judge her on what other people have said about her, get to know her yourself and make up your own mind...

if you're genuinely not into her, just be straight with her... treat others as you would like to be treated.

I agree with MaryJBlaze, dont judge her just yet. I have missed out on some good people because I end up feeding too much into what others are saying.
But if you have to end it, doing it face to face may be the best so she understands you dont mean to hurt her and want to stay friends.

Yep. Don't listen to what other's say. It's stupid. But don't do it over the phone, or in an email or text... that's the pussies' way out. Talk to her face to face.

what this thread should really be about, is why you would second guess your gut instinct to like somebody based on what someone else said....most people have motives for talking shit, and are most likely spinning the story to somehow better or further themselves...people are selfish dude, and most arent looking out for YOUR best interest, but rather that of their own....

just sayin'....its somethin to think about
