Has anyone heard this song? I heard this on the radio and then on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Unfortunately, I knew that it was Robert Plant before the first time I heard it, so I feel like I have an immediate bias. I like the song, though... any thoughts?
I got the album a couple days ago.... Its his best solo album yet, which isn't really saying a lot. I don't think I'll ever listen to it again. He needs to start eating acid.
For Information the guitarist Skin aka Liam Tyson who play in the new "Robert Plant & The Strange Sensation" album was a member of the band "Cast". Cast was one of the Britpop leaders group from 95 to 99 (Entwistle from the Who was a great fan), they were mainly influenced by the who and the beatles. They recorded 4 album between 1995 and 2001. I reccomend to curious people their 2 best album (it's my advice and from rock critics too): -All Change- 1995 -Magic Hour- 1999 'bye
Cast are a much much better band than the Strange Sensation. ahaha.. I was listening to this album again today. God damn, god damn, it fucking sucks. Never listening to it again.
i really think that this album is his best solo album. a lot because of the strange sensation, but also because he doesnt try to hit the notes he used to (like unledded and now&zen) ... its different sounding and ... well just plantish
i got the album the day it came out, i enjoyed it, shine it all around is a great song. im seeing him at the auditorium theatre in chicago 7/9.
i read somwhere that the album was really good and was plants best work since physical graffiti, but i also read that it is total pants....now i dont know weather to buy it or not!
I give his 80s albums (pre Now and Zen) a spin every now and again... they're new wave lightweight crap but a lot of fun
