...is such a rush for me. It's like a drug. I guess it's how gamblers feel. But I've always hated gambling. I never steal anything big, or from people, just corporate stores. Things like cough medicine, bass/guitar strings, gum, world of warcraft subscription cards, video games when they're outside of the glass case, headphones, random shit like that. Morally, I don't think that it is wrong. But, if it was from a person on the street or something like that, or a Ma and Pa store, I would, and I always discourage people from doing things like that. I never did it as a kid, cuz I was always too scared and I would freeze up, but now, I love it. Does anyone else like to steal?
You are very naughty. I only steal if it's food and I'm hungry and I have no money. I used to be quite a little bastard of a thief, but I then realised that no one who owns a shop is rich (at least not here), and you have to work for things. I think I just grew up...
Yes, almost exclusively from Wal*Mart (the supercenter is huge, has everything, and is always open), and almost the exact same things you steal. It is quite the rush. Although I think that karma is catching up to me. I stole a lightbulb because, well, I needed one and had no money, and it blew out the next day.
Yes...I will when I buy stuff. Like at the gap I will buy hundreds of dollars worth of clothes and will steal a tank top that is like 15 bucks. I never stole as a kid. I've stopped though, mostly because of how pissed my fiance gets at me when I do it.
Maybe it's just me. But I think that stealing out of neccessity is Ok whereas stealing for kicks isn't. I used to steal a bottle of saffron every week while grocery shopping. Just cos it was too expensive to buy. But I stopped.
You do realise that the store will just raise their prices to cover the cost of what you stole, making some poor families buying food pay for your stuff...
We all need our daily rush or fix but you're living dangerously I get my rush on the basketball court when I’m zeroed in on the hoop and in-the-zone Hotwater
Karma, or was it just cuz you got it from walmart? lol I'm not sure about the whole karma thing, just like god. I guess i'm a karmagnostic. And a hedonist.
I'm just guessing here, but I believe the store already has set a price that covers these kind of things, is not like stealing from Wal Mart and the likes is a new thing.
At what point does a business get big enough that it is ok to steal from? I always hear Walmart thrown around...a lot of people seem to have this delusion that it's ok to steal as long as it is a "big store", I am just wondering how they can tell. Is it when they become a chain? 3 stores? Or is it just ok to steal from anyone who has more than you? I am curious.
BTW I'm not saying it's ok to steal, I'm not saying it's not ok either. It depends on the circumstances and the reasons for doing so.
I'd say it's Okay to steal from a store that has no ethics. Like Walmart, it's not the size that counts, it's how they use it . If they use that size to help people in the 3rd world, only sell free range eggs/use free range in their products (Waitrose, Co-Op and M&S over here spring to mind) then it's a bit bad (not as bad as stealing from a ma n pa store), whereas if they use it to crush unions, destroy communities and force people into poverty by driving prices down (a la Wal*Mart/Asda , Tesco and a few others) then nick all you can. Do as much as you can to run the fucks out of business. You obviously won't wipe em out. But one less bottle of champagne for the shareholders is not going to give me sleepless nights.
Yeah good point, what I'm saying is that stealing just for kicks is problematic, but I'd rather a kleptomaniac had something than Walmart and the ilk did.
I havent stolen since I got caught stealing at Zellers when I was 9. My old girlfriend stole almost all the clothes she had and a bunch of shit, she was too good at it lol..
i take things that are funny. like the slippery when wet thing i have in my room. its on my wall. i don' call it stealing though...but i am a klepto
I'll tell you the same thing the judge told me, "There is not a crime in any penal code for shop lifting. What you have done is a Class D Felony and it's called Theft" Shoplifting sounds lighthearted and fun. Nobody else will see it that way when shit hits the fan.
