I've had a 16 gauge surgical stainless steel barbell in my eyebrow since having it pierced about 5 months ago. It has healed wonderfully and I haven't had any problems with it. However, I have read some positive things about titanium, including that it is 1/3 lighter than steel, and that it is least likely to cause a negative reaction from the skin. Since I haven't had any negative reactions to the steel, the lighter-weight factor of titanium is what is making it appeal to me most. So, is there anyone here that wears titanium jewelry in their piercings that can give me some feedback? Thanks in advance.
Its definetly lighter, but a 16 gauge is so small that the difference won't be super noticeable. Its totally up to you. If you aren't having problems now, there isn't a need to drop the cash, but it can't hurt either. Peace
i have a question for you lace and feet, di getting the piercing done hurt? i wanna get my left brow done but i do anything to avoid pain.
I had my eyebrow done about 5 months ago also, and i'm also ready for an upgrade I think. pushit: The anticipation of what it was going to feel like was far worse than the actual pain (if you could call it that, wasn't bad at all!)
