... yes, thats what we have become in the west....
if you shower for 15 minutes at a temperature of 40 C, it consumes as much energy as 167 hours of watching movies on video/dvd...
shower less! i dont like guys who stink of shower gel. it makes me feel sick. Stay healthy in a natural way, shower less.

I'm with on that one. People shower way more and longer than is necessary. I use 9 gallons of water heated by my woodstove a week for three showers (Mon, Wed and Fri). Yes you can get clean with a three gallon shower.

We used to take 3 Liter showers & still get clean(the trick is using a squeeze bottle so you can get more pressure than just gravity power)...I might feel guilty 'bout baths cuz our tub is a 125 gallon garden pond, but we channel the grey water into the gardens & only use small amounts of biodegradable, botanically-based soap & shampoo. We're hoping to get an 'on-demand' tankless water heater soon, because an incredible amount of energy is wasted just keeping the water in the tank hot on regular water heaters.

I agree... I used to be a clean freak, showering constantly; but I've learned over time from simply not having the time that its not neccesary. to shower obsessively. Be clean, I'm not saying don't shower... please do... but there are other ways
Use less soap. Since I've limited, I save so much money
Use less water. You don't need to stand under there singing for an hour. Its annoying and I will call the manager. JK

Yeah, I guess students on campus don't want to give up our high-pressured showers. I don't care if the showers were less pressured as I have grown up w/ low pressure showers for 20 odd years and I'm still okay.

To give you some idea about the pressure, my dad was bragging about our showers having twice the pressure as before (well water) and now our showers have maybe 1/4 of the pressure the campus has. It's rediculous how much pressure the showers have.

    Peace and love

speak for your self please sister. I have watched you all over these forums spewing this drivel and yet you sooooooooo support the whole thing... it is a lil bit ridiculous that you seem to type n speak all this n yet contribute to it all every single day n with fervor i might add ,,, why dont you begin to follow what ya spew forth and then perhaps i for one will begin to take what you post more seriously...

many of us here do not follow what "westerners" do n do not live like the majority... please stop your generalizing about everyone and instead of including me and many of our fellow posters into the "we" replace it with an" I"
