I am such a believer in sigs and I swear the power of intuition man that book changed my life. If you wish for something and you think like it's going to happen it just shows up. I was happy but unhappy about something and now it's completley come together to form perfection. total rariety total weirdness, so weird and so rare that the sign completley overtook my fears. signs rock do they not?
Oh please what? I asked a real question. You said something about a book that changed your life, but try as I might, I don't see a name of a book title in your post. WTH is wrong with you? -Jeffrey
Man, everyone is always on my ass for my criticism of shitty grammar, but when I look at this, I see it is a run-on sentence and it is not possible, without further clarification, to tell exactly, unequivocally, what is meant by it. If some part of this is supposed to contain the title of a book, I can't find it. So "that book" does not accurately refer to any known antecedent in your post. Which book? I'm honestly asking. But more to the point, maybe I'm making a case for the reasonableness of expecting some coherent grammar, if we are going to gather here to have intelligent discussions of any kind. -Jeffrey
i forget the name but it's the same guy who wrote 7 habits of succesfull people which was also really good. the guy who does the taped seminars on kpbs. and no you interagative assshole I'm not going to properly site and italicize titles on a fucking internet forum-I'm not that anal
God forbid, lynsey made a typo and jeffrey has got his panties in a bunch. Who would have guessed that would happen
Um, your post said "the power of intuition." Now I'm even more confused. :& For the future, you should know that when you're quoting the name of a book, it is supposed to be Underlined. This is a standard convention in writing. It helps people to understand. Writing conventions, and rules of grammar, are not just there to bust people's ass and make them have something to memorize! They exist to grease the wheels of communication! How was anyone supposed to know which of the numerous non-underlined, not-even-capitalized words in your post contained the name of "that book"? I still don't know the name of it, because it's either "intuition" or "intention." Hon, I'm not trying to be a ball-buster here, but I will admit to being a bit obsessive. I just want to see people here improve things -- improve things through writing more clearly -- and admit that it's not bullshit to be interested in using proper, clear grammar. Can you admit that there is a clear way to write something, and an unclear way, and that the way you wrote that post was unclear? I'm not asking you to admit to murder or something, just something simple and benign. It's not like if you admit it, I'm going to run around trying to use that to embarrass you about it. But it might make you consider being more careful in how you express yourself in the future, and that can only improve you, and the way you communicate. -Jeffrey
Hey, nosey asshole, did I say anything about her writing "sigs" instead of "signs," or "rariety" instead of "rarity"? I let those go. But then you go accusing me of flipping out over "typos" and I have to trot them out to prove that I wasn't doing what you said. Nice. Now everyone who missed it had to be told that lynsey mispelled "signs." Great job, dhs. -Jeffrey
don't call me hon and no being the completley normal human being that I am i do not underline nor intalicize titles on a forum. and I was a psych major so I italicized and didn't underline. and I have an editor who I work very closely with, she does my citations for me.
the fact that you notice all these things about me is rather creepy and he has every right to say what he wants.
