Are you or are you not afraid of the government? Why or why not?

Yes and no. I fear them because they're corrupt and have the power to do whatever they like. Yet i don't fear them because i know they wouldn't get away with doing whatever they like in this day and age. Unless they were to get as drastic as to bring in the military and imprison and slaughter millions of protesters... But, i don't think it would ever get to that... in our life time anyway. Then again... i wouldn't be completely surprised if it did happen lol...

I'm half and half here.

 

This is the internet, how do you know any of us are real? This could be a very well written puzzle game.... You'd never know.

Hell yes I am. Presidents come and go, but institutions remain. The CIA, NSC, and a lot of other places may shift policies because of a new president, but the same old people and families really run the show. Looking back at history and the things they have done and will continue to do to further their agenda tells me to be very afraid. But at the same time, there is no other country in which I'd rather live.

 

Can't do anything about it anyway.

 

I worry about their motives and actions. Not scared of them as human beings though.

 

Governments kill their own people to install fear into others for complete control of money and power. Yes i think we should fear them. Look at history for fucks sake...my god.

What if the gov declares martial law?

Then your government asks you to load up into the boxcar, to get into that trailer, walk into that fenced football field, without questions, what are you going to do?

Im staying in my house with my guns loaded and aimed. I will not be alone in this fight, lives will be lost. The slaves will be forced out and god only knows what will happen to them.

Look at their actions in passing this latest batch of laws and executive orders. It's the government that is terrified of us.

I am scared for future generations as far as governments around the world are not seriously addressing the seemingly inevitable environmental catastrophe that will ensue if corporations and industries are not made to clean up there act.I will never be personally afraid of a tory politician;I have considerable repressed anger towards them.

 

Stop drinking the kool aid bro. That's the propoganda for the masses that they need us to believe so we won't resist when told to bend over and spread em. They fed us the same bs in the '60s.

 

I am afraid they will continue to abuse their power and enforce more bullshit on to us. Also afraid of the seeming stupidity of some of our leaders around the world.

Not scared at all compared to what i imagine some poor souls are in places around the world.

Too many blind people who dont give a crap, it gets in the way, ideally everyone would need to act together rather than a minority which is usually the case.

 

I'm afraid of them as long as they have power over a majority of peoples minds... That control is rapidly coming to an end. When the people have control over their own minds, the government itself will end... that day is rapidly approaching...

 

what is this "the" government of which one speaks. there are governments. they are created by people for various reasons, good and bad.

their character comes entirely from the people, and to a great degree, the cultures of the people who give rise to them.

i fear the callous, thoughtless, aggressiveness of that is called conservative, which does just the opposite of conserving anything. i fear the fascist death camps it gives rise to, and i fear everyone who refuses to share in their self deception being sent off to them.

governments can and do become an instrumentality of this. they are not in and of themselves its source. that self serving pseudo-conservatism that conserves nothing, is.
