We didn't. You can thank preprogrammed Diebold machines with no paper trail for his return to power. The election is nothing more than a made for tv charade to install whomever is predetermined to cater best to corporate interests.
Even the least bit of research will show that the election was rigged and pre-determined.... we didn't re-elect anybody, nor was he elected in 2000.
slightly more than 50% of the nation voted bush. Why are you asking this on hipforums? We're the half of America that's on your side.
He isn't Bush? I'm not saying kerry would have been a great president by any means, but come on, he was clearly above that anus of a scoundrel that is Bush. Seriously, Bush is the worst president since Nixon, and guilty of many of the same crimes. And it's not like we were given any other choices. It was Bush or Kerry, and frankly, I'd still vote for the other candidate over Bush even if it were a rhesus monkey named Roger.
well...actually, kerry conceded when he realized he wasn't going to win. the election wasn't rigged, bush won because the majority of the american populace agrees with his policies, most notably abortion and national security. jesus christ, stop being children and accept the realities of democracy.
Yes, the claims that the election was rigged are naive. It was the ignorance and stupidity of the people that put gave Bush a second go at the office.
Kerry would have like totally saved us. Oh my god, he even plays a guitar and listens to Bruce Springsteen. He is a true hippy and a man of the people. He also has groovy hair. I love John Kerry.
So is it naive, even though there is evidence suggesting that indeed the elections were rigged? For instance, the 90,000 extra votes that turned up in Ohio. You're right. It's just not cool to question things. People might think you're weird, and they might not like you if you don't spout official media chorus lines. But, since you say it's naive to believe the elections were stolen, I suppose it probably is. Why? Because you said so.
well hubby and I didn't vote for Kerry either... It is what it is, and there really isn't anything that can be done about THAT now anyway...not that I can see anyway...Time to work towards the future.
Don't say that! The government will get you! Anyways, you don't want Cheney in charge do you? *shudder*
I certainly don't wish for any violence against the president. What good would that do? Nothing. He would just be replaced by Cheney, who, in my opinion, is even more evil. Besides, presidents are nothing more than puppets. They are figureheads. They are not the ones running things, but rather provide you with the illusion that they are. My opinion is that this country is headed down the path of destruction, regardless of who they put in office.
