Sometimes I'll find clothes of mine that would look better different...so I'll take patterns that I like and cut it to make cuffs on pants or patches. But I end up ruining a lot of my clothes... so I have a whole bunch of cut up clothes in my last dresser drawer...some I miss, most I don't. I also like to use fabric paint. I can make my own designs, or whatever I want, on solid shirts or pants. During the summer when it was WARM...I'd just go pick out a pattern I liked a lot from Johanne and wrap it around my body anyway I chose. I made a couple of skirts out of that nylon?? like slinky material, stretchy. I'd wrap it around my waste, mark, and sew up the side. I would also fold the fabric over and make a flag shape pointing down and tie it in the back. I'll get a sewing machine some day.
