3rd most important thing in life: how much power you have 2nd most important thing in life: how you use it 1st most important thing in life: up to you Any thoughts?
1. Why is power important? 2. Why does it matter how you us the power? 3. Why is it important that it is up to the individual to us this power?
I respect that you might believe this way but I doubt the ultimate point to life itself will have anything to do with power. As far as I can see-- all power can do is, for those with the ability to "read" people, it can help define the true character of those who wield it. If quantitatively looked at, the volume of knowledge, experience, and observation stored in a single brain over the course of a lifetime is enormous. I think it's possible that there is a collective soul "shaping" or refining that can only take place through an experience like we're all having for our time here. Everything else is (or should be) no more than window dressing. our power, wealth, property/possessions are just the temporary accessories kit that to in varying degrees accompanies the human action figure we're all using as vehicles here on terra firma. The purpose is likely the quantum effect our tally of experiences has on who we are... who we were when we first hit the midwife's hands versus who we've become when our lifeless bodies are being ceremoniously disposed of. Everyone's path in this setting will ultimately prove to be finite. There are no exceptions.
well, i don't "believe" this, but it is an interesting perspective to me. perhaps we should define power. to me, power, is the accumulation of life force, willpower, chi, awareness, etc. most important thing #1 would dictate the means in which you would gain said power, as well as how you would use it.
there's a conventional way of describing a philosophy - yep , three questions . what is real ? how do you know ? what is good ? i asked my dad these one time . he just replied 'god' for each question . it'd been better if i'd set a better context for him - like of what he knows and believes from his life as a farmer . actually over time i've done that - it takes a long conversation - and well , he wouldn't of been a successful farmer without the one thing that having a working philosophy can do for you : when you come to the end of the day and the money is gone , the weather will be worse , and so on so on hopeless ... mmm , bad blues and no power . wht's to doo ? philosophy itself must have the lil bit of power you can lean on and especially about what to do next . god ? he knows god is often vague about details . in practice , he might very privately consult a corn angel .
Power is a good word for the illusory aspect of life, but for all intents and purposes, power is something more like spiritual strength through surrender to the forces. In that sense it would have much to do with my #1.
i see power as a potential for action . yet , it seems alot of useless things get done for sake of busy-ness . so , ya , i'll collect lightening bolts and put'm in my back-pocket since mostly i'm just a walk-about hobo who got educated in a summer thunderstorm so wild and close to earth all i could see was red .
potential for the self to grow in the most genuine way possible, potential for action, and in that sense of busy-ness that is lost.
Sounds like economics. 3. how much power you have ----Capitol / land 2. how you use it ---- Labor 1. up to you ---- supply;demand/entrepreneurship
1. power how do you know what it is ? experiment ? believe ? accept ? pretend ? gamble ? up to you seems mostly a good-luck reality in which one could get lonesome and likely die young .
this developing philosophy could be Powerism . you as well could have one centered on cats and that's Catechism . the textbook i read lists such as these : Realism , Existentialism , Experimentalism . Anyway , i hope the author of Powerism will develop its expression (while still keeping it simple) . it's of interest to hear the yyessiam knowledge of power comes from experiment . is it a personal science in that personal knowledge of it is the only hope of having trustworthy knowledge ? is a book like I Will Make You Powerful In Ten Ways In Ten Days worth a shit ? i wouldn't read it and despise those who apparently have when these wankers tweak me the snoose with their annoying Methodism . meth is the root of that one , heh ?
can there be an archetype for wholistic power and perhaps no power also ? or perhaps that two-headed animal has a companion who would illuminate this situation of questions . ah , a puppet-show ...
