I don't play violent games but I do like simulator programs.

I'd much rather fly a plane or drive a truck than get shot at.

My current inventory is X Plane, Crazy Taxi, HardTruck, Trainz, and Ship Simulator 2006.

    Anyone else like sim games?

MS Flight Simulator 2007 is pretty decent... I only like the MS one's though as far as not getting shot at is concerned.

Crazy Taxi isn't really simulator though is it...

Gotta say that I'm obsessed with Formula 1 and Rally games for the precision driving.

I like simulators where you have a first person view of an adventurer holding a gun and completing objectives to get through levels or to eliminate the oposition

Rainbow Six Vegas is supposed to be fairly realistic, I have it and it does seem that way, although I've never actually been in any of the games situations so I guess I wouldn't really know :p If you want a game that you have to get through puzzle levels The Orange Box's: Portal might be fun for you, it's in a pack of three games; The Orange Box. For other types of sims I like Real Flight for computer, I happen to have the actual contoler for a real model plane and you can plug it into your somputer also. You can literaly learn to fly on that then go and do it in real life. My friend did exactly that with a helocopter (the game has tons of planes and copters).

densha-a-go (don't have, or trainz, but looks good what i've seen of it, for one of the consols, i forget which one), rule the rail (free, has shortcommings, but free), bahn (transport network sim, very powerful, very flexible, could be used in designing and testing the real thing. not free except frist couple of months after download, rail oriented but can do bus or even car and street/highway systems, and watercraft, and all four at the same time)
