i've had the same prob when i'm 1st starting to sleep with someone but i have insomnia anyway.. but i'd just lie there paying attention tothem sleeping but in time id get used toit..and get tired enough..so i'd be able to sleep..
also helps to have someone whos sleep schedules the same as yours (for me thats 5 am-10am)

maybe u could also try once hes asleep just move a lil distance away?
turn towards the wall so theyre pressence isnt so distracting?

I agree with Soaring Eagle. If your sleep schedlues are different, it'll be tough at first, or at all. My gf just moved in with me, and we don't sleep together anyway, because I toss and turn, and she is a very light sleeper.

You could get some sleeping aids to try and match your sleeping shedule with his. That would be a start anyway.

It takes a while for most people... I can sleep with someone but it's not a very good sleep usually. Try some warm milk with honey before bed, sometimes that can help out.

My boyfriends bed is very small, which means we have no choice but to spoon.

I have no trouble falling asleep.

I guess it also depends on how secure you are with yourself. Some might feel a bit up close and personal, especially when sleeping. Still you should get used to it!

I lovelovelove falling asleep with a special someone. One of the best nights I've had with my fiance was the night I had to leave her, and we just fell asleep in a teeny-tiny bed, hugging each other. She'd turn around, first with her back to me, then on her stomach, then on her back, and finally in my direction. I'd be half-asleep and often wake up a little to look at her beautiful body and face, and then fall asleep again until she changed positions.

i love sleeping with other ppl so long as there's enough room for the both of us... hehe. i tend to bend one of my legs up to stretch it out when i sleep and i have to make an effort to bend the knee that's sticking out of the bed and not into my bedbuddy's crotch.

Weird, I have no problem falling asleep with my boyfriend. Infact its probably the most relaxed sleep I get falling asleep in his arms.

Oh Oh Oh, try taking some of the covers and covering your mouth with them. I'm guessing it had something to do with paranoia, like maybe your afraid he will hear you talking in your sleep or snoring or breathing. I always sleep with the covers over my head. Mostly because my dog licks the fuck out of my face and I can't stand it but anytime I felt weird about sleeping in the same bed as someone, I'd usually face the oppisite way of their face and cover my mouth with the covers.

i'm the same way. i just can't sleep well with someone else. i suppose because most of my life i've slept alone and am so used to it. now i just try to avoid ever sleeping next to someone.

I'm exactly the opposite. I sleep a lot better when there's someone sleeping next to me.

I sleep the best when I fall asleep next to someone. Just the feeling of having someone next to you is so soothing.

i also find it harder to fall asleep with someone else in the same bed (i am a horrible sleeper though, i wake up to the slightest of sounds which sucks ass) but it just takes a little time for you to get comfortable with the situation. I anticipate after you sleep together atleast a dozen times or so you will have no problem sleeping with someone else. Hope you find a way to sleep! Just be patient...

You're only 18, give it time. And until then you can just get wasted!

It takes a while to get used to sharing your sleeping space with someone. My bed is really tiny, and the first time my boyfriend stayed over, we didn't sleep that well. We're now used to cuddle up and we get to position our bodies in a way that we don't disturb each other while we sleep. It just takes a little time.
