I was inspired to start this thread by some comments in another. I wonder what others think of the word 'slut', its definition, its stigma, its use from girls, its use from guys? I know girls in high school who were tagged as sluts, and it ruined them emotionally. Other girls seemed to resent them just because of the tag, and not for anything that they'd actually done. I know guys in school that will take a girl out, and tag her as a slut because she WOULDN'T give it up. There are girls like myself who willfully admit to being sluts, and find no problem with the tag at all. What are your views?
I personally dont like the word slut. I know that it does hurt the girls feelings and hurts quite a bit, so im ok not doing it. Slut is a bit of a strong word for a girl. Unless she has done something terribly wrong (sexually or not) then maybe, but not for anything else. Thats my view.
if ya wanna be a slut..be a slut.. but its your tag totake..& noone has thye right toput that tag on you but you
Actually...that word really doesnt bother me....me and my friends call one another that all the time. I feel like most of the girls that call anoyher girl that name are actually jealouse ..and the guys are just pissed because they didnt get any....and YOU are beautiful !!!!!
Im a slut...with the chicks...I dont care !!! hahaha Ive only had 2 guys and they were MORE than enough for me .
i personaly dont like it..& would never use it..well with 2 exceptions..if someone like alana claims herself to be a slut, its her right to be a slut if she wants to.. only other case would be in bed if she wanted to be called a slut..it would still feel weird & wromng to me but if she liked it whats the harm..maybe its that weird wrongness that adds alittle hotness but generaly i dont like the term
I dont use the word. I usually use "slag" lol, but i rarely use that word as well. Slut goes around alot at school, mostly directed at girls who shag about. The name "village bike" has become popular too. I remember the first time i heard someone use it, about some girl who i dont really know: "Shes the village bike init.....everyone's had a ride". Had to laugh because its a funny thing to say lol.
I won't use it except under two very specific circumstances... One, that I'm face-to-face with the person and it's so obviously a joke they couldn't ever take it seriously... like I'll strike a Priscilla Queen of the Desert kind of pose and lisp out "You slut!" Nothing hurtful, nothing derogatory, just for a laugh... Or two, when I'm in private and the lady has shown that she'd like the "bad boy" to come out and play, then I'll use it along with other "degrading endearments" for effect.
Don't like the word. Don't believe in the double standard, that it's okay for a man to like sex but wrong for a woman to show the same enthusiasm.
They're words. They don't really mean anything unless you allow them to.. I was called a whore just this morning and we both know better.. Call me a whore, slut, bitch, tramp, whatever your heart desires but I know I'm not any of those things so you may as well go outside and talk to a tree. No wait, I can sometimes be a bitch so I'll give whomever that one.
Yeah, but you're a bitch in a good way. "Bitch" is closely related to "vixen", and that's not a bad name either... unless you're a Russ Meyers fan.
Words like "slut" or "whore" can be offensive if you let them. They're overused and thrown around if some girl so much as kisses another girl's crush. Sure, they're fun in bed. But I think the offensiveness of "slut" has kind of diminished. It's used jokingly so often that it lost its effect as an insult.
i'll call a girl a slut if she is one. i don't really care if it hurts her feelings or not. she caused it by acting like a slut...
I don't know...........but..........everytime I see the word SLUT mentioned in a thread title, I feel the need to immediately open it up and see what it's about. Does that answer anything? I think I like the word WHORE better. SLUT is okay, it's not as exciting as WHORE though.
i like the slut word. its so very evocative, and in bdsm is almost an essential epithet for one's submissive. and on the contrary, i think whore pertains to money transactions and so has a much more unacceptable ring. but hey - bring them both along!
