Marigolds are very pungent and great as a cover up of odors!

Thanks for all of your input, the tall marigolds sound great, and I was wanting to grow lavender on my back porch as well. Thanks!

If you want to plant mint, you can contain it. Just plant it in a terra cotta pot, and put the whole pot in the ground. It keeps it from spreading.
