In this small town we have a small store that on the door in huge letters

SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THIS STORE and in small print below it says Niggers please use delivery door in back.

Yep as odd as it is, I will take a pic of sign on my lunch break.

Here is the part that gets me though, all the closed business in the small dt area have been bought up by the mexicans and if you were driving past this lil town on the weekends youd think you were in lil mexico.

But the blacks still get the rope around here.

So does this mean if your a cheap labor mexican your ok but if your black your?

And alot of the election ads say no wonder georgia is the envy of the usa,or some bullshit like that.

    God Bless the USA....right

Where I live..on the bridge that connectes the island to the sound..theres a sign ..it keeps getting removed and replaced...but it says...******, dont let the sun set catch you this side of the bridge...any delivery men or workers must be off the islnd by sundown. I dont know if the good ole boys still enforce it...but they used too.

Really the attitude around here by most people seems to be live and let live, I recently framed a basement for a log home for a really cool black fella from chicago and everyone I talk to who knows him thinks alot of him (simply cause hes a nice guy).

Ive never really heard any neg talk here, here people are more worried about red-neck tweekers with guns than a black man passin through town. And if I did it would probably be from a red-neck tweeker with a gun.

But im sure all the good ole boy backroom shit talking goes on.

I would not be able to live in a place like that (either one). Id probably end up hurting some white trash people... and that would be bad....

whether that kind of thing is tolerated locally or not, its still illegal.

if you're serious about what you've said, then there's almost definitely a means of anonymously submitting this information to the proper authorities who will at LEAST remove the signs and offer a large fine, if not shut this business down.

that kind of thing is quite simply inexcusable. i'm not saying everyone has to believe the same thing and like every group out there, but harboring negative feelings toward an ethnicity in general terms and having a "niggers' entrance" are two extremely different things.

i think such signage in a store would actually be illegal on a federal level, though i'm not positive. i personally feel this business should be shut down, but anything would help....

That's crazy, you would never hear or see anything like that in Cali. I had never heard the word uttered before I visited the south and geez I think I was in my 20's...it was a culture shock.

It's ridiculous that people still smoke after all those "Truth" ads on television. Some people are just so ignorant.

ive never seen any evidence of rascism or discrimination in my 14 years of living here..

i hate to say it,, but the peacekeeper is the most rascist person i know in this town,,so thats another reason i find this story hard to believe..

I don't know anyone down here who is racist. I am sure there are racist people in lakeside and such places but I live in an urban suburbia that is very diverse. It was 90 percent white when we moved here, now it's 25 percent hispanic, 15 percent black, 10 percent asian and 50 percent white.

I do know some people who are very anti-illegal immigration but know no one who hates or uses hateful terms for a specific race.
In saying that I come from a very equalitarian family, my friends have similar values and I lived in HUD housing when I was little and I was the minority. If I was non-white I may have a different opinion of how much racism actually exists here.
The only thing I am going to agree with you on is that we are well dressed ;)

We have all been created equal. Sometimes we forget that and lose our ability to empathize. You may not see the sign he is speaking of until you take off your glasses and see through his.

My thoughts exactly. Sometimes the racism is disguised by dollar signs, physical blocks and clever wording, but it's there.

Everywhere in this country there is rascism, just some certain parts have it more exposed because of their inhabitants. Like the south for example. In Cali its definantly there, but not as open as other states (All IMO)
