smoking leaves??

my friend is growing 3 plants atm, they'll be ready for harvest in about a month.

on saturday, me and another friend went over his to smoke, i had to leave fairly early. but thwey told me they tried smoking the leaves of the plant, and said that the leaves got them high, like a mild indica high.

i didnt believe it cos i thought leaves had like 2% THC in them and werent worth smoking, can anyone help me out to explain this?

 

iven ever got high off smoking leaves. but from what i've read about weed i learned that

the cannabinoids aren't in the bud or leaves they are in the trichomes(crystals) so if there were resin glands on the leavees i guess they could get high.

i don't know though never worked for me.

 

iv never tried if, nor would i want to smoke them id rather bake with them, you should ask your friend why would you want to smoke the leaves if you have 3 plants about to harvest, id be lowering my tolerance and getting ready for that harvest

 

Leaves can get you RIPPED!!!! When covered like this, they taste quite hashy......not much of a "green" taste at all....

 

well unless they were smoking fan leaves, then yes its very likely theyre not lying.

 

in my home country u can find weed growing in older ppl gardens there are old recipes containing weed for the taste of it yes its marijuana but without any buds just the plant and the leaves we tryd smoking it but none of us got high or no where nere it.

I smoked straight leaves before and caught a high off them.

 

I've done it. Smoked leaf trimmings. Pretty ok, actually. Just remember, the lower you are on the plant, the less buzz factor they have. Big fan leaves at the bottom. pfffttt- not likely to get you anything. little baby crown leaves? those can get you buzzed off your ass.

 

if the plant has only 1 month befor harvest why did your friend smoke the leaves DUMB

all i know where i live u can find weed just growing outside but sadly it wont get u high doesint mater wich part is smoket.
there is a special way of boiling shit loads of the plant in spirit or something like that i don't know exact recipe so i just buy the real thing which i know is gena get me nice and high.

well he didnt harvest buds, because it was 1 month till harvest, if he did harvest buds to smoke, then it would be 0 months to harvest DUMB

 

if it's 1 month befor harvest he can just take a small bud off the plant

maybe he wanted the greatest number of mature buds possible?

oh wait, that'd be common sense. let the bud grow for a month instead of smoking some dinky little pissant thing.

And the question about 'harvesting leaves'? If the leaves are old, dried out, or blocking light to the lower parts of the plant, those are all intelligent reasons to trim them out. The OP asked if the leaves taken off had a use. Yes, they do, if someone doesn't want to waste them.
