and he was cursing at an invisible child.

what was he saying that led you to believe it was an invisible child, and not an invisible pet or an invisible midget?

 

I suppose that's just my inference.

He did raise his fist down toward it to threaten the child/midget.

I like to wonder with these people.. are they simply insane or are they actually seeing something we can't?

 

Maybe he was on his bluetooth, but he also has terrible coordination issues, so he has to look down at his feet while he walks in an effort not to trip

 

Maybe you simply heard a guy cussing who wasn't really there.

People use those tiny headsets for their cell phones. Makes it look like they're crazy till you notice the headset.
