So, how did everyone find this site?

I was bored one day when I was fifteen, and Googled "hippie chatroom".

And boom. The rest is history.

How about you guys?

 

I cannot remember what I Googled to find it.

 

I found this site back in the mid 90's when it was still called 'Hipfora'. In those days Skip was on the street handing out business cards to promote his newly found site.

 

I was wondering why you kept saying hipfora in your threads. Lol.

That actually sounds kinda cool. I wonder why he changed it...

 

Old habits die hard.
He never explained the reason why, it all adds to the mystery that surrounds these fora.

nah i was looking stuff up about weed. i came across this site. i had no idea what forums were i was like

 

All I do know is that I was not doing a search for hippies when i searched for a forum. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only forum alive with so many topics.

 

I had recently went to my first heady music festival, and was trying to learn more about the culture/where to find more.

Google decided to dump me off here and I never have been able to crawl out

 

When I first came here, I was really ridiculously addicted to hipchat.

 

Not gonna lie, was trying to learn how to grow weed properly and it brought me to this site - took me a week to find out there was a whole world of other discussion going on here. Glad I did

Shortly After I Bought My First Puuuter I Stumbled

On A News Item About The USA's Negative Attitude To Barefooting And

I Could Not Fathom Why, So I Started Googling Barefoot And This Is

One Of The Sites I Was Directed To, Then After Doing Some Serious

Lurking For 12 Months I Joined, Will Be 6 Years This Coming April...

I must have been googling something related to something here.

 

My brother told me about HipForums. I was trying to wean myself off the forum at the Alzheimer's Association. I read posts for about a week and then signed up.

 

Was it my posts that made you decide to sign up?

"Long-haired hippie boys" in Google search

 

I found it because of the Googles.
